Pandey chosen because he is associated with GST !

Ajay Bhushan Pandey's appointment as new Revenue Secretary hasn't surprised many. According to sources apart from UIDAI he is also Chairman of GST Network and because association with GST, he was considered to be fit for Revenue deptt which is dealing with GST. He is a 1984 batch Maharashtra cadre IAS officer. Pandey will continue to hold the additional charge of chief executive officer of the Authority and chairman of Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) for the time being.
