Rajiv Kumar, Chairman of Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) who has also served as Finance Secretary in Government of India, has been appointed as new Election Commissioner in Election Commission of India in place of Ashok Lavasa. Rajiv Kumar is a 1984 batch IAS officer of Jharkhand cadre.
