PM inaugurates NBCC built AIIMS, Bilaspur

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday 05 October, 2022 inaugurated NBCC built AIIMS Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh in the presence of Governor of Himachal Pradesh Sh. Rajinder Vishwanath Arlekar, Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Jai Ram Thakur, Union Minister Anurag Thakur, and Member of Parliament Jagat Prakash Nadda. Foundation stone of the Institute was also laid by the Prime Minister on 03 October, 2017. AIIMS Bilaspur, constructed at a cost of more than Rs 1470 crore by NBCC (India) Limited, is a state-of-the-art hospital with 18 specialty & 17 super specialty departments, 18 modular operation theatres, 750 beds with 64 ICU beds. Spread over 247 acres, the hospital is equipped with 24 hours emergency and dialysis facilities, modern diagnostic machines like ultrasonography, CT scan, MRI etc, Amrit Pharmacy & Jan Aushadhi Kendra and also a 30 bedded AYUSH block.  Institute has residential facilities of type II, III, IV, V quarters for Faculty & Nurses, UG, PG Hostel for the students. The hospital will also help to provide health services in the tribal and inaccessible tribal areas of Himachal Pradesh & nearby States Punjab & Haryana. The Institute has an intake of 100 students for MBBS Course and 60 students for nursing courses every year.
