PM inaugurates NBCC built National Police Memorial

A 30-feet tall National Police Memorial alongwith a World-class interactive digital immersive museum having an area of 17,000 sq.ft. built by NBCC (India) Ltd., a Navratna CPSE, was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi . The Memorial was proposed by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) as a consecrated place for paying tributes to the soldiers from all Paramilitary forces and State Police who attained martyrdom in the line of duty. The trapezoidal site for the memorial lies on the visual axis between Rashtrapati Bhavan and Shantipath, and is spread over an area of 6.5 acres. The main central structure on wreath podium is a cenotaph and stands testimony to the valour and supreme sacrifice of the police martyrs across the country.
