PMO to get a new address in Navratri, North block and South block will become museums

The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) is all set to move into its new address during Navratri, marking a historic shift in India’s administrative landscape. Alongside the PMO, several key ministries currently housed across different locations will be relocated to the upcoming Executive Enclave, a part of the ambitious Central Vista redevelopment project. This modern facility will bring the Prime Minister’s Office, Cabinet Secretariat, and National Security Council Secretariat under one roof, ensuring greater efficiency and coordination in governance. Once the transition is completed, the iconic North Block and South Block—long-standing power centers of India’s bureaucracy—will be transformed into museums, showcasing India’s political history, heritage, and institutional legacies. This move not only reflects an effort to decongest the capital’s administrative framework but also preserves the grandeur of colonial-era buildings for public engagement. Navratri’s symbolic timing emphasizes renewal and the beginning of a new chapter in India’s governance.
