Prime Minister Narendra Modi's office (PMO) will relocate to the new 'Seva Teerth-1' complex on Makar Sankranti, January 14, 2026, ending its 78-year stay at South Block since Independence, as part of the Central Vista Redevelopment Project. Constructed by Larsen & Toubro at Rs 1,189 crore over 226,203 sq ft on Dara Shikoh Road, the facility houses PMO in Seva Teerth-1, Cabinet Secretariat in -2 (already operational), and National Security Advisor in -3, embodying 'seva' (service) through modern workspaces and ceremonial halls. New arrangements emphasize aesthetics with open, transparent layouts, natural elements, low partitions for collaboration, and flexible brainstorming spaces, while enhancing approachability by removing cabins and barriers to promote eye contact, direct communication, and a welcoming vibe aligned with governance reforms. Post-move, South and North Blocks will become the 'Yuge Yugeen Bharat Sangrahalaya' museum, with a new PM residence nearing completion nearby.
