Who will be Presidential candidate of NDA ? A panel is ready and name will be announced this week. In all probability, he would be Dalit or ST candidate having knowledge of English. He or she would be like Pratibha Patil.

Beware Ministers, PMO is watching !

Ministers and there staff should be wary of PMO which is keeping an eye on them and all there activities constantly. Is this the reason why the system in the government is improving gradually ?

Communism grew under Cong regimes, not now

Communism was allowed to grow under the Congress regimes, but that does not seems to be the case any amore.

Farming Violence ..who and why..

Still in Shimla and today my Respected Friend...a Retired Senior Bureaucrat...and yours truly meet at Scandal Point...we pick up frothy coffees and sit on a bench and get chatting (Temperature 15°).

Me: Farmers shot dead in MP.... RaGa is embarking on next leg of his tragedy tourism.. . Kejri would be going too soon for sure...

Respected Friend: Sad turn of events...sadder the politicization.... the falling prices are causing distress ....plus the demands for Farm Loan Waiver.. but in Mandsaur case ...legal Opium grown here and gunfights common..I think someone is Farming Violence here ....

M: But basically Modi has done a lot for the Farm Sector...

RF: In 2015 a Paper presented at the World Economic Forum on the Indian Farm Sector ..advised  ...Investing in smarter Value Addittion  (PPP)....Improving access to Credits, Markets and Technology ....Building Farmer resilience to Environmental Shocks..

M: As I see it Modi Government already working on these ..

RF: Land Acquisition would have lead to Value Addition Chains in Village Clusters... on Credit Access ....never been better...now interest moratorium too....loans being hogged by some States and efforts on to get laggard State's Farmers to avail loans... Technology ... Soil Health Cards  ..more Crop per Drop....organic crops...Market Access ...removing APMC.... Farmer Bodies setting up Retail Arms .....Shock Resilience.. . Crop Insurance..

M: So in fact Modi Government doing a lot for the Farm Sector..

RF:  Will take some time to play out and show results.... and sometimes in elections Parties make promises ...but when they come to Power ...the ground realities force them to go back on their promise ..

M: MSP recommendation of Swaminathan Commission..

RF: If it were to be implemented Food Inflation would go up to 20% minimum....and then reality is there are more consumers than farmers ....

M: So some middle path...

RF: MSP Linkage with inflation rate.....all Subsidies in cash via Aadhaar ( with Market prices for Fuel this Subsidy is warranted )....tax higher bracket Farmers ....

M:  RaGa will be going and as usual will make faces as if he understands the problems of the Farm Sector ..which are actually Greek to him ...like Upanishads and Gita are....

RF: And I think Kejri needs to concentrate on the upcoming....Troublesome Season....overflowing gutters .....filth... Dengue, Chickenguniya and Malaria outbreaks ....

M: Yup the Farmers in MP don't need a Dengue Mosquito from Delhi ....and as for RaGa...Congress is executing the ISI programme of felling this Government by a 1000 revolts ....dig deep you will find The Hand ...Modi ji sunn rahe no kya...

We both shake our head despondently and walk towards the Mall.

We often come across many retired officials complaining that now a days juniors respect their seniors only till they are in job and don’t care afterwards.
