BJP appoints second line leader as CM

With the appointment of Jairam Thakur as CM of Himanchal Pradesh, BJP has decided to give command to second line leadership.

Dhumal, Singh era is over in HP

After four decades Prem Kumar Dhumal and Veerbhadra Singh era has come to an end in Himachal Pradesh politics. Both parties - Congress and BJP - never promoted any leader and whenever these two parties won these two were appointed CMs.  Both leaders are 75+ years.

Order.. Order...

I'm  at my fav Dhaba on the NH..... sharing the table with me is a individual who looks forlorn and a Lawyer.....he's in the Vakeel 'uniform'!!

The Waiter asks the forlorn Gentleman, 'Kya khaoge' and he responds,  ' Zehar hai kya'!

The Waiter's taken aback and I step in, 'Kyaa ho gaya Bhai Sahib' and he says, 'Poochcho matt ...lutt gaya ...iss Duniya mein imaandar ko maar padthi hai.'  Saying this he beckons the Waiter and places his order.

Me: Talk about your problem... maybe we both ( pointing to the Lawyer and Self) can be of some help..

Forlorn Person: Kya bolloo... lutt gaya... I had a lot of faith in the Judiciary...

Lawyer:  Batao Sir ji kya hooaa....maybe I can be of some help..

FP: Was fighting a case... the Department had presented a voluminous Chargesheet ...which clearly showed the other Party had indulged in a lot of hera-pherri... ..taken a lot of hush money... but when the Judgement came the Judge said that no proof was presented ....and that for months he waited for some tangible proof but nothing came....the Department  had given ample proof who else was he expecting ....some Devta ... and then he said  no money trail was provided... as if that person would use Banking Channels for this kind of money.... isn't  the act proof enough...

L: But didn't  your Lawyer expound on what was in the Chargesheet..

FP: A little bit... he concentrated on the notional loss to the Department....

L: So could be your Lawyer did a shoddy job...  Lawyers getting into cahoots with the other Party is not uncommon... why blame the Judge!!

FP: But the Judge must have read the Chargesheet .... there are 5 pages out of the 62 page operative portion that clearly point out to the jiggery-pokkery..

M: Maybe the Pages got stuck...you know it happens... and if the Learned Judge found licking the finger before turning the page unhygienic then he could have missed the Pages...and as your Lawyer did not take up the issue forcefully it could  have been glossed over..

L: Nowadays in Litigation not  only are the Litigants on trial even the Lawyers and Judges reputations are on trial....now see you've told me about your experience.. I will talk about it to other Lawyers and they will add their info and experiences... Lawyer circuit these observations would be recorded....and often Lawyers do expound on such info with Clients..and thereon!!

M: I see a lot of disbelief in Society when it comes to Judiciary..

FP: No wonders all these Netas who are involved in humongous corruption say they have trust in Judiciary...

M: But to be fair to the Judges ....our Society has the Mai-Baap culture.... we tend to butter up anyone who can decide on anything pertaining to us..don't hubbys and wives tell each other... aap merre sabh kuch ho... and then you come to know some of them are getting divorced..

L: Judges will decide on what is presented to them... if the Lawyer is sold out or does a shoddy job... why blame the Judge... don't get me wrong... not absolving Judges all together... there could be rotten apples in this proffession too!

FP: What should I do now...

L: Go into appeal... it's your right to get the Judgement tested... I can recommend a Criminal Lawyer in HC who you can meet and take advice and then decide next step..

M: As a layman.... I think you should learn Tamil... see Marans... PC... Raja and Kani all Tamils ...all got off the hook ....Public perception was Guilty.....kuch toh baath hai .  Just joking...  good to see you laughing....
