It is widely believed that in the event of UPA Government coming to power, Rahul Gandhi will be the Prime Minister. Seasoned politicians, however, rule out this possibility saying either Pranab Mukherjee will be PM or Manmohan Singh because of UPA partners.

Chhattisgarh- 14 years of trailblazing development under Dr, Raman Singh

Not only Chhattisgarh had been on an aggressive development trajectory for the past 14 years. the vision of State Chief Minister Raman Singh has also helped the state achieve many milestones in all sectors. The Chief Minister’s efforts have put the State on global map of rapidly developing State.

The State, due to the unstinted efforts of the Chief Minister has transitioned from being an Agrarian State to one of the most rapidly developing states in infrastructure development while making tremendous progress in all other fields. Many Chhattisgarh’s development models are now even imbibed by other States.

Some of the key achievements of the State during the long and successful ongoing tenure of Raman Singh include - huge jump in Agri produce arrivals, end of Inspector Raj, establishment of 14,976 micro and small and medium units with an investment of Rs 3,77,130 crore providing direct employment to around 1.50 lakh persons.

During the last 14 years, 1,123 investors submitted IEMs worth Rs 13.34 lakh crore making Chhattisgarh second in the country to have drawn such level of investor interest.

Agri and Jobs

Still in Shimla....its very cold but sun is out ...so my Respected Friend,  Retired Senior Bureaucrat,  and yours truly.. we meet at the Ridge and occupy a Bench in the sun. We get chatting over frothy Coffees and Veg Patties.

Me: Why the FIR against the Tribune Journo for the Aadhar Exposè...

Respected Friend: Didn't she pay money to obtain a password and then used the password to access Aadhar Data... its similar to hacking... case had to be filed...UIDAI and Cops doing their jobs..... and Court will do its job... let her off with a reprimand...

M: Yup if her objective was to awaken UIDAI she could have taken them into confidence.......got the Password and handed it to UIDIA ..in fact UIDIA would have cooperated with her....I'm sure if her ultimate objective was to make UIDIA take corrective measures she'd have kept UIDIA in the loop....but if her objective was to embarrass UIDIA and Government then she has some answering to do...why has the Parliamentary Panel asked Government to wait for 5 years and then take a call on privatizing AI..

RF: Primarily ... I guess ....so that AI freebies  continue....5 years hence we will come to know whether AI bled more than the rise in its Stock Prices...I guess the bleeding will outstrip the stock price rise effect on the Valuation...and its Fleet will be 5 years older..

M: I think with this 5 year wait and watch they should make AI 100% Commercial..

RF: Then what's the fun in the wait and watch!!

M: Hope Modi has something up his sleeve when it comes to Agri Sector and Jobs.  Some say rise in MSP is the only answer!!

RF: There are more non Farming Indians than Farming Indians ..rise in MSP means fuelling inflation... a no-no as General Elections next year...so I expect a Band-Aid solution at present for the Farm Sector....Jaitley will go all out to woo the Middle Class.... expect a meaningful rejig in Income Tax slabs and/or rates...

M: He has to time it right ...because when it comes to Middle Class they react fast and move on faster!! I think he also needs to get Fuel into GST ambit..because by next year there is bound to be a considerable rise in Global Oil Prices...or even a Excise rollback!!

RF: Problem is huge ammount of approx 1.5 lac crore caught up in Demo outfall litigation....after all due process has to be followed..

M: Deficit is rising....its tricky!!

RF: But you have good ole RaGa taking his potshots...he forgets this Government has one thing going for it...no Ghoos bleeding the Nation...actuaĺly revenue has gone down ...only naturally post phenomenal measures... next two Quarters revenue will rebound....

M: He has the luxury of lampooning without his Party having attempted such gutsy measures in the past...and hopefully will not get to do so in the future..

RF: Chalo lets go...someone noticed Priyanka has the same gray  streaks in her hair as her Grandma... his conclusion.. if she leads Congress it will win 2019 election...his friend responded...Arbaz Khan resembles Federer...so he can win Wimbeldon..

We have a good laugh...throw the paper glasses and plates in the bin and walk back to The Mall.
