Iqbal Preet Singh Sahota, former DGP in Punjab, is reported to be willing to start a new political career by joining politics. Sahota, who belongs to a 1988 batch IPS officer and retired in 2022, is likely to fight for the Lok Sabha seat from Hoshiarpur seat on BJP ticket.
