Campaigning for the last phase of Lok Sabha polls 2024 has ended and now the Prime Minister is on a spiritual sojourn. But in the 75-day campaign period, Narendra Modi has shattered his own record of campaigning. The election fever reached its crescendo in the country from March 16, when the Election Commission declared the 7-phased poll schedule. Even the unprecedented weather failed to deter the 73-year-old Prime Minister from campaigning aggressively. During this period, PM Modi held 206 rallies, roadshows, and events in the scorching heat - up from 142 in 2019 - and gave dozens of interviews. In May alone, he held , 96 rallies and roadshows. The PM mostly focused on UP, Bihar, Maharashtra, and Bengal, where he held 31, 20, 19, and 18 events respectively. These states together make up nearly 40% of the Lok Sabha constituencies, sending 210 of the 543 MPs.
