24 States pass the State GST

GST is going to be a reality. According to official information, 24 states have passed the State GST Act till June 5, Seven States - Meghalya, Punjab,Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, J & K and West Bengal are yet to pass the state GST Act. Telangana was the first state which passed the State GST on April, 9, 2017.

BJP constitutes committee to reach consensus on Presidential election

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has constituted a committee in respect of Presidential elections. The committee, which comprises of Home Minister, Rajnath Singh, Finance & Defence Minister Arun Jaitely and UD and I&B Minister M Venkaiaha Naidu, will reach a consensus to select candidate for President after holding discussions with various political parties on the same.

My Respected Friend, retired Senior Bureaucrat, is in Mumbai and I take him to my favourite Cafe which is located at the rear end of a Five Star Hotel. Over Cold Coffees and Sandwhiches we get chatting.

Empanelment policy of NDA Government

IAS, IPS AND IFS officers are agitated these days because of  new empanelment policy of NDA Government. Is new promotion policy adopting 360 degree approach for empanelment in GoI better than old one ?
