I'm enjoying the Winter sun.... sipping Kanji (Black Carrot spicy concoction) when in walks the wife with a plate of freshly cut Winter Salad.

Wife: So what's your take on the Republic Day Parade..

Me: Fantastic.... 10 Foreign Special Invitees ...10 ASEAN Leaders... I'm sure the Haka Noodle lot accross the border must be shaky..

W: Flying ( frying) in theil (their) own juices..RaGa in the 4th row gave a unbathed look.... maybe as it was so early in the morning .... so as per his usual time schedule he must had to miss bathing to be present for the Republic Day Parade...did Government have a premonition about his unbathed look and so seated him in the 4th row..

M: His Mom as wife of an ex PM got to sit in the 1st row..but RaGa's the President of a Party that techinically does not even qualify to be the Opposition....so with Heads of other Parties he got to sit in the 4th Row...

W: But Amit Shah got to sit in the 1st  Row ...he's the President of BJP..

M: A tradition that's carried on for long ....the President of the Ruling Party sits with the Cabinet.....

W: Maybe as RaGa's 'Mai-Baap' for Congis they are being too touchy...

M: Did you notice President Kovind getting emotional while presenting a Posthumous Award to a brave soldier's Wife and Mother.... after they exited he was seen wiping his eyes with his handkerchief...

W: Really touchy....BJP Leaders are really the emotional kind.....welcome change from emotionless  presentations of such awards!!! I recall one of our ex Presis made it look as if he/she's doing a favor...

M: Many firsts this Republic Day.... 10 Foreign Special Invitees.... President getting emotional... VP joined PM seeing off the Special Invitees.....

W: I recall previous PMs post the Parade would just vamoose...its only Modi who acknowledges the presence of Indians..

M: At tremendous risk to himself Modi recognizes the presence of fellow Indians.... post the Independence Day he goes amongst Kids seated in front...

W: Sonia looks happy... RaGa apart from unbathed looks tense...

M: Must be having a lot on his mind.... like if Karni Sena will continue to deliver....will 2 of the  Rebel Judges find a place on the Ram Janambhoomi Babri Masjid Bench...

W: You mean he realizes the ramifications...

M: I think his Advisors use the Good... Bad.... Horrid analogies to deliver the message... he doesn't have time to  get into the nitty-gritty..

W: Or it all flies over the Cuckoo's Nest...

M: Careful he could be the PM ...sometime in the future..

W: I'll stop eating Momos if he does...

M: You give up Momos...that would be a miracle....or maybe at that age you won't be able to digest Momos...

W: It'll take more than a miracle to put him in 7 RCR...

M: You better get ready quickly if you want to be driven down to our fav eatery and enjoy Soup and Momos..

W: Okay....ek joke maroo... some of the Special Invitees must have thought to themselves.... 'India has more Band wallahs than we have Faujis'. 

I laugh and give her the thumbs-up and she scampers off to change for Soups and Momos.
