Bihar, AP given special packages

In the union budget for the 2024-25, Bihar and Andhra Pradesh have been linked with a special scheme, States in the eastern part of the country benefited under scheme ‘Purvodaya’.  Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa and Andhra Pradesh will be benefited from ‘Purvodaya Scheme. She said, the government has made concerted efforts to fulfill the commitments in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act. Various development and infrastructure projects were also announced for Bihar.

Budget lays out nine priorities of Modi government

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman while presenting the budget listed productivity and resilience in agriculture, employment and skilling, inclusive human resource development and social justice, manufacturing and services, urban development, energy security, infrastructure, innovation, research and development and next-generation reforms as nine priority areas for the government.
