Is 2024 really a wild year?

Violent incidents in many parts around the globe have raised  many questions. In England, people are being arrested for their social media posts. As per information, more than 3,000 people were arrested in the UK for ‘thought crime’ they expressed online. Over 200 among them are behind the bars for retweets, which the government found offensive. The UK has engaged officers to scan social media posts rigorously. Venezuela has blocked platform X for ten days in the country. Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has urged people to boycott Whatsapp, Facebook and Meta. Also, France is also not happy with many social media posts and has issued certain advisories. Recently, the EU and USA have imposed heavy fines on Google and Facebook for various violations as well.
