Why RSS arranges free boarding and lodging for lakhs of examinees in Uttar Pradesh?

Uttar Pradesh Government held the Police constable examination in February but the question paper was leaked. It crushed the hopes of around 48 lakh candidates who had registered for the exam to fill 60,244 constable posts. When the BJP conducted its internal review after the recent Lok Sabha election setback, one reason repeatedly cited was the leak of exam question papers which left the candidates and their families unhappy with the party. With fresh exams being held in 67 of UP’s 75 districts, the government has taken tough steps in place. Also, the RSS has stepped in and made arrangements for free boarding and lodging for examinees and the kin accompanying them. To guide students, the Sangh has also set up helpdesks outside railway and bus stations, circulating the information along with contact details through social media as well.

No takers for Mamata's anti- rape bill; Protests continues

It seems people are not impressed by Mamata Banerjee's new bill against rape incidents, passed by the state assembly on Tuesday. Protests, especially, night protests have become a daily routine. Thousands of women across West Bengal marched on Wednesday midnight as part of the "Reclaim the Night" campaign, demanding justice for the doctor who was allegedly raped and murdered at a hospital last month. Residents turned off their lights for an hour from 9 pm to 10 pm and came down to the streets with burning candles to protest the murder of the doctor.
