Parties have their own diaspora abroad?

Indian political parties have their own set of followers in various countries, especially in the US. Nowadays, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin are on a US visit.  Both are meeting officials, students and business partners. They make it a point to meet the Indian diaspora and tell them their 'dill ki baat'. They post their views on social media which also has a huge gathering. Now, the question arises - are these followers going to attend the functions of each leader in large numbers or these are all-stage managed shows?
