BJP leader Smriti Irani preparing for bigger role in Delhi politics?

Ex-Amethi MP Smriti Irani’s  activities in the national Capital have created a buzz. Her involvement in the party’s activities in Delhi has been growing recently. This gives a strong indication that she has a possible ‘role’ in local politics ahead of next year's assembly elections. She was born and raised in Delhi. She has been assigned the task of supervising the membership drive in seven out of 14 BJPdistrict units in Delhi. Unconfirmed sources said, “Irani has purchased a house in south Delhi, strengthening the theory further. In such a scenario, Irani, along with other leaders such as MPs Manoj Tiwari and Bansuri Swaraj, Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva, and former West Delhi MP Parvesh Verma, could be potential contenders for the ‘bigger’ role.
