Rahul Gandhi after being labelled "Pappu" for nearly a decade, the public's perception of him has finally begun to shift . While he may not yet be viewed as a highly intellectual leader, the narrative has evolved from seeing him as simply "dumb" to recognizing him as someone who may be intellectually flawed or new in the world of politics.

A recent survey conducted by Whispers in the Corridors “How would you rate Rahul Gandhi as leader of opposition ?”, asked people to rate his performance as leader of the opposition and also to explain their ratings. The results revealed a shocking split in public opinion.
