Polarisation on Modi front

There is a polarisation on Modi front these days. You will find either Modi Bhaktas or Modi haters. And now the voice of haters is disproportionately large.

Congress Circles say that P Madhavan is a common link between Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi.Madhavan has been in the personal staff of Sonia Gandhi since eighties.

My friend who is a Punter in the real sense of the word meets me at a Marriage Reception. Seated near the Bonfire... live Snacks Counter .....we get chatting...over spicy Virgin Marys and assorted cheese....

Me: So what are you betting on nowadays...

Punter Friend: From Races... to Cricket Matches... to even Sensex and Nifty Futures I bet on all these... why if you want to bet now itself.. I'm game...who will be first to feed the other the Cake... Bride or Bridegroom..

M: No thank you... so on Sensex Nifty Futures hope you went short....would have made a killing...

PF: No I bet long... arre Market really has taken this LTCG Tax to heart...

M: The rise was unexplainable.... so I think Market was looking for an oppurtunity to correct big time..

PF: But LTCG is unfair..

M: Do you put any effort into ....say betting.....be it Markets or Racetrack..

PF: Arre I study the Cole Book ( Racetrack Book) for days before betting..Stocks ...I talk to some Dalals on Dalal Street!

M: Arre does the Horse win or the Markets rise or Fall because of any effort on your part...

PF: No..

M: So what is so wrong in Government  taking a share from your Windfall....yes if Government raised taxes on the Income you earn... then you have cause to be angry..

PF: I've  lost heavily... so I'm  upset..

M: An Aunty eats and eats...puts on weight at a phenomenal rate... Uncle tells her 1 Kg =  Rs 2000...so now onwards 10% of the weight you  put  on in Rs., terms will be cut from your monthly allowance...she loses weight at a phenomenal rate... extrapolate this on Stocks and LTCG.....

PF: But I burnt my fingers big time..

M: Profit commiserates with risk...so you  learnt a lesson..rather than Futures invest in Stocks and stay invested for some time.... in a matter of a month the Market will rebound.... and losses will be wiped out for those holding Stocks..

PF: Rotation ka maamla hai Boss... I can't stay invested... I move on to next betting avenue...chall lets bet.... the girl will put the Jaymaala first...

M: No thanks...

PF: What did Modi mean by TOP...

M: Two in one... Farm sector will get priority...and amongst the Farm crops... Tomato... Potato... Onion will get top attention..

PF: Itna pyaar with alooo.. tamaatar and kaanda...

M: All 3 farmers suffer the most because of vagaries of Nature and production..say one crop Tomato fetches them a 'handsome 'price' of Rs. 14 (retail we pay 80) and next year part of the crop they get Rs 2  ( we pay 25) and part rots...ditto for onion and potato...

PF: 2019 ...will Modi come back...

M: Chal this I can place a bet...if he does not... I will treat you to a Coffee in Starbucks Singapore ...all paid 5 day holiday...and if he does.... you buy me a Coffee at Starbucks here..

PF: Lollipop bet ..... done.....make it Coffee at Madras Coffee House..

M: Cheapo...

PF: Arre when I know I will lose should I think about the probability of winning...or cut my losses.....

We have a good laugh and move on to have our dinner.
