Why Thousands of kindergartens are being closed across China?
Thousands of kindergartens across China have closed as enrolment rates dropped sharply. A significant decline in birth rates is recorded in the country. The annual report of Ministry of Education's in China said. The number of kindergartens in China decreased by 14,808 in 2023 and now the total number stand at 274,400. This marks the second consecutive year of decline, underscoring China's falling birth rates. Kindergarten enrolment also fell for the third year in a row.
