BJP’s micro-level strategy to woo Purvanchali voters in Delhi

The BJP has focussed on wooing Purvanchali voters on the occasion of Chhath, which accounts for 42% of the Delhi electorate. The BJP’s Chief of Delhi Unit Virendra Sachdeva took part in a Chhath event in Patparganj in East Delhi, while Manoj Tiwari and Bijayant Jay Panda took part in the Chhath event in ITO. Even party National President JP Nadda flew to Patna for Chhath Puja and visited state ministers’ and party leaders’ residences, sending out a message to Purvanchali voters in Delhi.
 
Census 2025: May set stage for delimitation and reveal accurate population growth and fertility rate   

The country is expected to begin the national census in 2025 and conclude it early 2026. The decennial exercise couldn’t be conducted in 2021 due to Covid-19. Preliminary trends offer insights into what we might expect from the census. India’s population growth rate is expected to be 0.9 per cent in 2025 when it will have 1.46 billion people. The census is also expected to set stage for delimitation of the constituencies. The exercise is also supposedly to express details about population growth, mortality rate, fertility rate and birth rate.
