Priyanka Gandhi's Parliamentary Debut

In her maiden speech as a Member of Parliament, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra did not shy away from the ongoing debate on parivarvaad (dynastic politics). Instead, she embraced her family's political legacy, elaborating on the significant contributions of her great-grandfather, Jawaharlal Nehru, and grandmother, Indira Gandhi, to India’s development. Many feel Priyanka’s fluency in Hindi and sharp political instincts appeared to surpass her brother Rahul. Despite minor slips during her address, Priyanka quickly recovered, corrected her errors with poise, and proceeded with confidence, demonstrating her ability to remain composed under pressure.

Mamta Banerjee and INDIA bloc

West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and INDIA bloc nowadays are attracting headlines. Reason behind this is a feeler initiated by some TMC leaders that Mamata could lead the bloc better. Now experts see a hidden agenda behind this - one, Congress led by Rahul Gandhi is not at all competent to sail through the bloc because in the recently held assembly polls in  four states, the party's performance was very poor. Second, by raising this issue, the TMC wants to get rid of the black spot of the RG Kar Hospital's rape case of a female doctor. Third, if Mamta goes to the national politics, the Bengal reigns may be given to her loyal or to Abhishek. TMC is not interested in getting involved into EVM controversy, because the party has won three consecutive assembly polls in the state while Congress is blaming EVM for the party's defeat. This move of the TMC is bound to give some solid outcome in days to come.
