Will INDI Alliance cracks benefit BJP in Delhi polls?

As Delhi prepares for the elections, the INDI alliance faces major internal discord, leaving Congress isolated. The Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav has supported the AAP, saying that only AAP can challenge the BJP in Delhi. West Bengal CM and TMC chief Mamata Banerjee has followed suit, endorsing AAP and predicting a BJP defeat in the region. These developments point towards growing fissures within the INDIA alliance, formed to present a united opposition front. Congress’s sidelining comes after earlier leadership controversies, with Mamata Banerjee expressing aspirations to lead the alliance. Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit slammed Akhilesh and warned his statement could alienate SP voters. As the opposition fractures, the BJP may capitalize on these divisions to solidify its campaign.
