Will resentment in BJP affect party’s performance in Delhi?

Resentment erupted in the BJP over ticket distribution for the Delhi Assembly elections. Protests occurred outside the Delhi BJP office, with outgoing Karawal Nagar MLA Mohan Singh Bisht expressing displeasure over being excluded from the candidate list. In Tughlakabad, protesters demanded a change of candidate, chanting slogans against party candidate Rohtas Bidhuri. Similar protests had earlier targeted the Mehrauli candidate. BJP leaders attempted to calm the unrest amid growing dissatisfaction within the party ranks. However, it remains to be seen how much this latest development will affect poll results. Analysts predict the BJP is likely to perform better in this election compared to the last two polls but betrayal and in-fighting is a challenge BJP needs to overcome at this stage.
