A veteran Congress leader said that had Sonia Gandhi made Arjun Singh PM instead of Manmohan Singh, he would have demolished the fascist forces.

My old schooltime Buddy who is now a Financial Consultant meets me at a South Indian eatery. Over Filter Coffees and Mysorepaks we get chatting.

Me: They say someone from Bangalore had written to PMO regarding Gitanjali Jewels  owned by Choksi ....Nirav relative and associate ... in the letter he had highlighted the glaring discrepancy in the Loans and Assets + Revenues ... the loans outstriped the assets + Revenues...

Friend: Yup but it was a commercial  complaint regarding Gitanjali....he had paid 10 cr for a Franchise.... .. PMO had forwarded  the letter to ROC Mumbai.... and acknowledged receipt of letter and informed about action taken...

M: So Congress saying that Modi knew about the LOCs way back in 2016 is baloney... F: Yes...one  because the LOC fraud was uncovered in Jan 2018.... and PMO does not undertake Investigations... the numerous complaints PMO receives are forwarded to concerned Ministeries or Organizations...

M: What about Nirav's pic in a CII delegation pic with PM Modi..

F: Congress is being an ignoramus .... Nirav's Firestar Diamonds  is a Associate Partner of WEF (World Economic Forum) for Davos Event....Nirav was in Davos in this capacity.... he sneaked into the pic... he was not part of PM's Delegation...

M: And RaGa is conveniently silent about his allegedly launching Nirav's Jewellery Coffeebook at Hotel Imperial....

F: He is in Opposition.. so he has the luxury of making allegations left..right and centre ....no accountability....

M: He tweeted ...if you want to hoodwink Nation of 11000 crores...hug Modi or get into a pic with him....

F: And beauty is the scam took place in 2011 when UPA was in power...LOCs without being entered into the system were issued...and not standard 90 days LOCs but 365 days LOCs..and this rogue PNB Manager was kept in the same post for years..

M: How did the scam come out...

F: Well Nirav's people were habituated to picking up these  dud LOCs ....must be topi ghumaoing... using LOCs to raise loans to clear the previous LOC raised loans.... slowly but surely what could have started with 1500 crores burgeoned to 11000 crores over time...now this rogue Manager retired... and as habituated Nirav's people stupidly......but thankfully... approached the Bank for an LOC.... Bank asked for Margin Money... they must have shown some of the previous  LOCs and  claimed they paid no margin money in the past...

M: And the cat was out of the bag...

F: In no time this Government has recovered 50% of the fraud ammount...Bank Managers suspeneded... now let's see if the Political angle is investigated... this kind of scam has  to have political patronage..its too daring...

M: But it'll be difficult to get Nirav and Choksi back though they are Indian Citizens... the other protagonists ...impossible...because they are US Citizens .....Belgians...

F: I'm sure if by a miracle Congress  comes to power there will be an Amnesty for these crooks... return the principal ammount with a fine and come back... all cases closed...we need Businessmen to generate employment and revenue would be the excuse...

M: All the scams..... Lalit....Mallya..... Nirav took place in UPA rule and they all ran away during BJP's stint ...when their past 'Immunities' were 'revoked' !!!

F: And this charge that BJP allowed them to get away is baloney... they've been able to escape partly with help from their old Political Friends and Money power.....they were too hot to be allowed to stay here....and they say Congress may be out of power.....but with its old connections is still in power.... the corrupt in the system yearn for them to back....

M: By the way will Rockstar Raghu (ex RBI Guv) say something on this issue.... happened during his stint as Guv..

F: No he will not... Shobha De will voluntarily step in  and do the needful for him..... she's his self appointed OSD.... Officer on Swooning Duty..

and if I were Nirav I'd have shorted PNB big time and made a killing ....after all Nirav knew what he had done and its effect on PNB's share value once cat was out of the bag..

We have a good laugh....pay the tab and move out
