Will ECI initiate action against Kejriwal?

The ECI has issued a notice to the AAP Chief Arvind Kejariwal seeking evidence on his claim that the BJP-led Haryana government poisoned the Yamuna water supply to Delhi. Kejriwal had accused BJP of "mixing poison" in the city's water supply. He especially targeted the Haryana Government for poisoning the water coming to Delhi from the Yamuna. Though the Delhi Jal Board has denied his allegation. Informed sources said that Kejariwal may tender an unconditional apology to save his skin but the ECI may take some action.

Rahul Gandhi will get personal staff soon. According to sources, four officials may be posted in his personal staff.

New Congress Headquarters: Party wants to keep everything under wraps?

For the inauguration of new Congress Headquarters Indira Bhawan, no invitations were extended to the media. This sparked discussions about Congress attempting to restrict media’s presence in its new building. The decision to bar the media from entering the new premises was reportedly made by the media communications General Secretary, Jairam Ramesh but no confirmation from the official sources has come in this regard. Also, the headquarters was covered with green netting on the roadside walls, blocking any visuals of the insides. It was done to prevent the media from taking photos or videos. The decision to limit media access may stem from Rahul Gandhi’s antipathy toward the media. A few senior Congress leaders, on condition of anonymity,admit that not providing enough space for the media to perform its constitutional role was a mistake. In the previous headquarters, journalists had sitting rooms and could freely approach any leader. The new building, however, will not have that freedom.

INDIA Bloc parties rally behind AAP

As the February 5 Delhi Assembly elections approach, several INDIA bloc parties are backing the AAP, sidelining the Congress. Leaders from the TMC and Samajwadi Party (SP) will campaign for AAP, with TMC deploying MPs Shatrughan Sinha and Kirti Azad to woo Purvanchali voters. SP chief Akhilesh Yadav may also send his MPs to support AAP. Despite Congress's 99 Lok Sabha seats compared to AAP’s only three and Rahul Gandhi's role as Leader of the Opposition, INDIA bloc allies like TMC, SP, NCP, Shiv Sena, and RJD increasingly favor AAP, highlighting Congress's diminishing influence.
