South to be important in next Government formation!

It is now believed that for the first time south will play an important role in the next Lok Sabha election. For the first time, South will be important not the North in the formation of new Government.

 Will Suresh Soni be another Nanaji Deshmukh?

It is heard in the RSS circles that  Suresh Soni will  retire  to set up educational hub in Harda-Harsud in Madhya Pradesh. Will he be another Nanaji Deshmukh?

PSU Banks

I'm with my Banker .... Private Sector Bank..... and as Banking chaos is on everyone's mind I get into a chat with him on this very subject.

Me: PSU Banks ......

Banker: Putta Siddha ( Upside down) Useless Banks ..

M: Privatization..

B: Much more scum will come out..... Unions will create havoc....who would  want to touch such Banks....

M: Recapitalization..

B: Pouring water into a bottomless  Ghada....

M: See this is a fact....Negligence in Banking is universal...

B: What about Baking Scams.....surely not negligence.... in fact with a lot of intelligence...this Swift key misuse is so ingenious...

M: So where should Government  start...

B: Learn from scams..... HR... Audit.... Systems in PSU Banks are a bloody joke...why did the PNB Swift work outside CBS...

M: I feel to get to the bottom of this scam right from Shetty and Gang upto the then Chairman should be questioned..

B: Auditors and Information Security Department of PNB. Should they not have seen the “Vulnerability” in working outside the CBS system and flagged it as a risk...and why the hell are Auditors not changed every three years...both by Banks and by Borrowers (made mandatory for Borrowers)...Bank Boards should provide declarations on  Adequate Controls and correct financial statements ....

M: What about Bankers giving Loans where Business feasibility was doubtful... where the collateral was nowhere near the loan ammount...this is prima-facie evidence of Management and concerned Employees being complicit in a fraud.... why not make the Nirav and Choksi cases as examples... and right from Bank of Allahabad  undertake a forensic investigation.

B: I think now consolidation of PSU Banks is a must...

M: Absolutely... and I note Branches of Banks become fiefdoms.... something has to be done about this...

B: Reporting....and Audit of Reports...not filing!!!

M: How about a Manager level exchange programme ....say for 6 months. .. between Private and PSU Banks....job mortality as it is in Private Banks is very high so secrecy should not be a concern...

B: Too idealistic..... I'd never go to a PSU Bank....from a go getter I'd return as a 'Kaam Chalao'!!!

M: OBC seems to be doing spring cleaning  ..... after Delhi's Seth Jeweller now Simbhaoli Sugars.... diverted loans for  financing cane farmers ....

B: Shouldn't  Banks be looking proactively into usage of Loans....in this case shouldn't the Bank have done the disbursement on behalf of Simbhaoli...

M: See fact is Banks have to realize proactiveness is the name of the game....

B: Can I make a cruel but true example.... treat Big Borrowers like you treat Farmers... 50% problem solved....

I shake my head in agreement and bid adieu to my Banker and exit his Office.
