Why Congress failed in Meghalaya?

Why Congress could not make it in Meghalaya? According to observers no opposition party wanted to extend support to Congress in Meghalaya because it has become almost spent force in NE states. It is clear that opposition united to make Meghalaya a Congress free state.

Now paperless Lok Sabha

As per the directions of Speaker for Paperless Parliament, various measures are underway including electronic file movement system which has been implemented since February 1, 2018 in the Lok Sabha Secretariat. Within a short period of 1 month time around 50% files except financial, legislative and confidential files are being moved in the system with the cooperation of committed officials and employees of the Lok Sabha. This has brought more transparency and speedy disposal.

Myths Busted..

My friend who works for a Policy Think Tank joins me for a Coffee in CP... over Coffee and Muffins we get chatting.

Friend: Sonia had sent her three Musketeers to try to salvage Meghalaya ....but their strategy proved their undoing..

Me: What strategy..

F: Well they went to the Guv with a Letter claiming Congress to be the largest Party and so the rightful claimant to Government formation..

M: So that they could then shop for support.... as per them would be easier and cheaper....they tried UDP and even offered CM post ...but UDP said its part of the anti Congress front..

F: The anti Congress Front went with  32 MLAs... including the proposed CM...so obviously Guv chose them..

M: No parallel with Goa... because in Goa RaGa kept the Goa Congress incharge waiting.... the Dance of Democracy waits for no one...and BJP pulled off a winner..

F: NE is no fluke... Modi's been working on NE since 2014....first made them feel Indians by stopping the descriptions used for them... then ... huge spend.... expansion of roads...air and rail connectivity ...for the first time rest of India realised Indians live in NE...

M: RaGa's running away rankling Congis ... though in Public they behave nothing wrong in his going overseas at this time...

F: When BJP won only 2 seats Vajpayee had said.... andhera chattega...kamal khillega... as for Raga when Congress loses.... flight pakdega...holiday pe jaayega..

M: Seeing  Opposition's behaviour in the Bank scams ...its like someone in a Irani restaurant eats and eats and at the end of meal breaks a glass.. the Owner points out to a guy on another table who has not had anything and shouts... khaaya peeya kuch nahi glass thoda aat aana...

F: Really funny..... scams thrived during UPA.... scams were uncovered during NDA's stint....so how is NDA responsible..its perverse logic of Opposition to blame Modi...

M: And Scamsters who indulge in such phenomenal chori do have an escape plan always... like Nirav and Choksi chori... by the  time the  scam came out the protagonists had run away with families...

F: So now Congress has pinned its hopes on Karnataka....

M: They sure do recover very  fast...... after they lose Karnataka... spate of elections coming up...

F: But BJP should be worried about Rajasthan..Vasundhara was a effective CM last time but lost re-election... this time her performance  has not been up to the mark...

M: I am of the firm belief Royal lot are unfit to be Leaders in a Democracy...

F: The Andhra break-up fiasco of UPA is causing extreme heartburn in Andhra....it was done for electoral gains... and irony is they got zilch...

M: Like UPA scams and expects Modi to clean-up... similarly...it bungles in breaking up a State and Modi is expected to rectify the damage...

F: Frankly..in one week 3 myths have been busted.... PC can't be touched... Manik Sarkaar cannot be defeated

..Ahmed Patel master strategist...lets see if the Mother of all myths will also be busted...

M: Irony of it all... RaGa arrives in Rome... and in Italian elections the Far Right gets a huge lift...

F: He should be made the Mascot of the Right...and frankly at the rate Far Right is going in India... Left of Centre  and Left may file rape charges (notional)....

We have a huge guffaw... I pay the tab and we move out.
