Rahul Gandhi refers to Jaishankar as ‘JJ’

Rahul Gandhi has slammed India’s foreign policy, saying it has “collapsed” under the current government. His comments came while Congress MPs are visiting other countries to explain India’s stand on Pakistan and Operation Sindoor. Gandhi referred to External Affairs Minister, S Jaishankar as “JJ” in a social media post, which confused some in his own party. He also shared a video of Jaishankar’s interview with a Dutch news channel and asked why no country supported India against Pakistan. The BJP hit back, calling Gandhi’s remarks “irresponsible” and sarcastically suggesting he deserved “Nishan-e-Pakistan,” top civilian award of Pakistan. 

Will Cong take action against accompanying delegation?

There are strong indications that the high command may take action against those Congress leaders who were part of the diplomatic delegation of the Modi government. Congress forwarded four names for the delegation but the government picked only one leader. Shashi Tharoor, Salman Khursheed, Manish Tewari and Anand Sharma had gone to various countries as a member of the delegation. Only Sharma's name was recommended by the high command.
