If sources are to be believed some union ministers are under the lens. While some sources say three ministers, other sources say two. But the question is- why are they being scanned?

If high command succumbs to pressure  tactics, Siddaramaiah set to play ‘Dalit CM’ card

The Congress Chief Minister in Karnataka Siddaramaiah is all set to play the ‘Dalit CM’ card if Shivakumar prevails on the high command for the CM’s post. The dalit ministers Satish Jarkiholi, Dr G Parameshwara and Dr HC Mahadevappa  are said to be close to the CM. It is said that Food and Civil Supplies Minister KH Muniyappa is also likely to throw his hat in the ring if the dalit CM issue comes up.

Three top diplomats to maintain Sheikh Hasina’s diplomatic immunity

Sheikh Hasina, the ousted Prime Minister of Bangladesh, has been residing in Delhi since August 2024, after her government was toppled amid massive protests in Bangladesh. In order to maintain her diplomatic immunity and ensure her safety, three top diplomats have been deputed around her since her arrival in Delhi. These measures are part of a high-level cooperation between Indian authorities and Hasina’s entourage, with Indian National Security Guard commandos and elite commandos from the Indian Air Force also involved in her security arrangements.

Recently, Sheikh Hasina stated that she feels safe in India and has no intentions to leave in the foreseeable future. She mentioned in rare interviews that she is “living freely but cautiously in Delhi,” referencing the violent political history that has affected her family. Hasina confirmed she would only return to Bangladesh if there were a legitimate government and fair elections, and firmly denied any plans to relocate from India regardless of external pressures. She emphasized that millions of her party’s supporters, the Awami League, would boycott elections if not allowed to participate, reinforcing her position to remain in India for now.
