Modi and Amit Shah  have no personal touch ?

Fake News

Two Houses away lives a retired  Senior Journalist. He drops in for a Coffee .... we get chatting over Coffee.... Cutlets and Banana Cake..

Me: Ministry of I&B's initiative to curb Fake News has got some Journos up in arms...

Senior Journalist : But Fake News has existed for some time and in recent years gone up phenomenally..

Me: When do you feel it started..

SJ: During Laloo's Jungle Raj....

M: You were a Journo then ...what was your experience..

SJ: They regularly distributed Khaki Envelopes with 5000 in the envelopes to the Media... a Princley sum then....some lived it up ...some bougth Maruti 800s... one group of Journos from a Media House even negotiated ....via their owner ....with Laloo for a Sugar Mill with land..

M: Yes I recall the sugar coating of Laloo's Jungle Raaj by a section of the Media ... they made him into the lovable rustic Clown..

SJ: I recall those dreadful days for Biharis... when kidnappings were rampant...Biharis did not step out after 7 PM...power cuts... Government used to harrass citizens...for Laloo's daughter's marriage 100 new cars were forcefully taken from Automibile Showrooms...those who refused... Showrooms were burnt down..

M: Horrible...

SJ: I recall one local Journo who whitewashed his Raj... he was given Police Protection... I was at a Presser that Laloo was to address..he did not turn up.. I noticed the distribution of khaki envelopes...a Editor got one and sheepishly told me... some papers!!

M: On SM I note many Journos peddling sheer lies...

RF: Cambridge Analytica has hired many Journos for this job.... I heard they are paid 5 lacs/ month..

M: Yes the new Web News Portals are really into peddling Fake News...so you feel Government  is justified...

SJ: Absolutely.. this Fake News harming Society and Social Fabric...harsh steps are needed....

M: And we know what is Fake News.... there is Predictive News.... its easy to contemplate what comes in the Fake category...intent to lie!

SJ: Like if I predict so and so will be made a Mantri...or so or so will be transferred or appointed...this is Predictive News... but if I say so and so will be fired and add my mirch masala ... then this comes under Fake News...

SJ: (reads a message on his Mobile)  So it seems PM has asked I&B Ministry to withdraw the Fake News Order... his logic is its the job of Press Council... now this is a wakeup call for the Council..

M: And what a masterstroke... since morning Journos peddling fake news have been decrying Ministry of I&B's  order... Journos not in Fake News business... would never object... as via the Order their profession would get rid of the Fake News lot....

SJ: Cleansing is much needed...

M: I recall when Modi was sworn in RaGa had prophesied that there would be riots... so after 4 years this gameplan being put into place..

SJ: If I know Congress... I think now you will get a glimpse of  Congress's ruthlessness ...its now do or die... 5 years more of Modi and Congress would implode.. why Indians would drive Congress out...

M: Just an idea.. as Bharat Bandhs are  going to be the norm.. we the Citizens should get together and move for Bharat Kholo...

SJ: Like now Fake News is making Public  object... so will Bandhs...sabh cheez ki ek limit hothi hai...

I nod in agreement and I walk down with him to his House Gate and bid Adieu.
