Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah, after Assembly polls in the state, it is believed, will be another Amarinder Singh - one who can dictate terms in his party.

A contesting candidate on ITD radar

Income Tax Department has found that  a candidate who is contesting on a party ticket  is a non – filer since AY 2012-13 onwards. But in his election affidavit he has declared that online filing of return has been blocked by Income Tax Department so he could not file his return and has paid Self Assessment Tax, which was found wrong. Issues like valuation of properties which he claimed to be valued at Rs.191.00 crores are under investigation.

My friend who works for a Power Company in the capacity of Vice President - Projects drops in for a Coffee. Over Cold Coffees and Jim-Jam and Bourbon biscuits we get chatting.

Me: Now Congress contesting Government's claim on electrification...

Friend: What is there to contest .... PM Modi promised to electrify 18500 villages in 1000 days... and this was done with a few days to spare...what is there to contest...

M: Well Congress saying we did 97% of the electrification ...

F: They electrified many villages just on paper.... installed grossly under capacity Transformers... the transformers burnt down ... and on paper the dark villages were electrified.... such villages too have been electrified now to achieve 100% electrification  of Census Villages...

M: Census Villages!!!

F: Yes ...now the hamlets attached to Census Villages will be electrified by December 2018.... this spin that many villages not electrified... is because Census Villages electrified.....the hamlets attached to such Villages will be electrified by December 2018...

M: 4 crore households that don't have electricity will get electricity by December 2018... Herculean task....

F: In the 18500 villages that have been electrified many villages in remotest part of India... even Helicopters have been used to transport material ...if this Herculean task has been achieved I have confidence next Herculean task will be achieved..

M: And someone had Tweeted Sonia's Letter dated March 29, 2005 promising... actually boasting... 100% electrification of households by 2009...

F: Congi Spokies will say... see her intentions were good...

M: Intentions ka aachaar daale hum...and they have  the  gall to question a PM who has fulfilled  his promise well before the deadline....

F: And I've been to some of the 'on paper electrified' Villages ...which Congress claims it electrified.....the transformers stood rotting.....  lines and poles missing....now do you hear.... so and so power plant has coal for 5 days.... no. Off grid electrification has gone up phenomenally.... all because of this Government's efforts...

M: From 15 / unit for Solar Power today its just a fraction

.. 2+ / unit...don't forget that the more the demand lower the price of the hardware!!

F: From Generation... to Distribution.... to Metering.... to Billing... all round efficiency....

M: Another claim by Modi.... the 15 lac one... what he had meant was .....there is so much black money stashed overseas that if its brought  back each Indian could get 15 lacs....to show the quantum of money....

F: And Congis keep pining for 15 lacs... giving what Modi said a spin..

M: But if you are a Data user then in actuality aap ko 15 lacs mill jaye ga... how... this is how...1 GB data used to be Rs. 300  ....now its Rs. 5 per GB...so...saving of Rs. 295 per GB..... saving of Rs. 295 x 30 days = Rs. 8850...... average 3 phones in a home.....Rs. 26,550/ month.... 26550 x 12 months = Rs. 3,18,600..... annual saving 3,18,600 x 5 years =Rs. 15,93,000....so kindly return Rs. 93,000 to Government...ha ha...

M: Say this and Congress will say all because of Rajiv... who brought Mobile phones to India... forgetting it was technology jiss ka time aa gaya tha to enter India... lucky for Rajiv he was the PM...

F: Koyi rasta hai to make Congis stop trying to grab credit ...

M: Only one way .... just name the Yojna after a Gandhi family Member...

F: Most apt would be ... Rahul Gandhi  Congress Khaatma Yojna...

We have a good laugh and I see my Friend off at the door........
