Will three state elections decide Modi’s future ?

Political observers believe that results of three Vidhan Sabha elections –MP, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan will decide the future of the Modi Government.

Bureaucrats and Government ?

At a chitchat some bureaucrats were heard saying that NDA Government will not last long because history shows  whenever bureaucrats turn hostile, the Government goes.

Emotive Issues......

I'm at my favourite Cafe for my morning Coffee fix. On the adjacent  table is a young man who is busy with two Tabs and his Mobile. Seems he gets a crick in his neck and he pauses and starts a conversation with me.

Young Man: Today if you even question some Journos... Congis and now even a BJP Leader ..... they all will call you a Troll...a Bhakt...

Me: Its expected that quite a few Journos... who are billed as Darbaari Journos and Congis  call  those who question them as Trolls or Bhakts... but never heard a BJP Leader call anyone a Troll or Bhakt..

YM: Sushma Swaraj.... seems she returned back from an overseas trip and got to know about tens of thousand Tweets ......pertaining to MEA's response  to the complaint of a Lady against an RPO...

M: Yes...yes.. read about this case. I think she should  understand  this is now an aspirational India...  an India that doesn't  want to go back to Dynastic days....when we were like servants  of The Raj Part 2.....we were a sham Democracy as we were literally ruled by an Autocracy...

YF: You are right...in fact now the very same people also question Modi on so many issues... why the delay in repealing 370.... Ram Mandir...

M: Sushma Ma'am  should realize there are all kinds.... polite..... diplomatic... indirect ...rude.... abusive...

YM: One must analyze .... why is this person so rude or abusive.....think

..if I was in his or her place is there a chance I too would do the same...remove the adjectives... and see does he or she have a point...remember patience is running low...India is in a tearing hurry to break away from tbe past..

M: Once you are in Public Life you have to be like Modi.... like he said everyday he recieves 2 kgs of abuse.... Modi ignores abuse ...insults... yes when he gets a chance he responds in his own way to Opposition abusing or insulting him..

YM: Shatrughan Sinha... Yashwant Sinha.... Shourie literally ache for Modi to respond  to their diatribe.... insults....

M: I think Sushma Ma'am needs to learn  from Modi...and what should really worry her that Congress has come out in her support...

YM: Seems AAP lot will be in protest mode up to 2019 General Election....

M: Yes.... nowadays about trees.... next about rise in Metro fares....I think Kejri would be working  on the list in Bangalore...

YM: In Delhi the power and water situation is horrid....the fine for delay in restoring a Power outage will lead to increase in tariffs....DISCOMs are not Charities...

M: PC seems to be losing it... he questioned BJP saying GST is celebration of honesty...his logic ...why did BJP oppose it prior to 2014...

YM: BJP opposed it because of the raw deal UPA gave to the States in GST.... this Government got the States aboard first..

M: BJP's been very fair in dealing with States.... off the record... even Amrinder would agree.....

YM: Will 370 be repealed.... I think President can do it..

M: 370 is a cruel joke by Messrs. Abdullah and Nehru ...

M: Its 'Temporary and Transitional'.... so how can it ...assume place of permanence in the Constitution.

YM: Its a blunder that deserves to be corrected....and once President proclaims its repeal no Court can do a thing..

M: Repeal 370... Ram Mandir... Jailing of some VVVIP Corrupt Netas...if I was asked to advice what BJP should ensure in the coming one year...

YM: Yup... Modi has to  understand .... without a doubt he's done a fantastic job on lifting India .... giving it a new direction...but there are emotive issues...like ....370... Ram Mandir..... jailing of corrupt VVVIP Netas ....

M: Yes and sometimes our emotions get the better of us...so this coming one year will decide....will India stay in the safe hands of Modi or fall into unsafe dynastic hands and thereby sending India into a tailspin...

Young man returns to his Blogging and I pay my tab and move out....

Modi Down But Not Out

Who has been the most succesfull bureaucrat turned politician ?

Eyeing politics as a vibrant medium of serving the nation, several civil servants have in the past several years identified politics as more suitable career to serve the people. Given the fact that they found the political system much comfortable and active in order to bring about the desired change, it however remains to be seen that who among the bureaucrats (who turned politicians) have been most succesfull both in the state and at the Centre.
