Why Nitish raised clean Ganga issue ?

Political circles are abuzz that why Nitish Kumar, CM, Bihar, raised the issue of clean Ganga at a public forum, that too when Nitin Gadkari, Water Resources and Ganga Rejuvenation minister was present in Patna recently. According to sources, Nitish Kumar reportedly said that when so much amount is being spent on clean Ganga project, then why Ganga is too much mailee in Begusarai ? Gadkari could not react. Reason best known to him.

Emergency

Very hot in the plains so I drive up to Shimla. Meet my Respected Friend... retired Senior Bureaucrat... at a Cafe and over Coffees and Shimla's legendary Pineapple Pasteries we get chatting.

Me: Without a doubt Emergency was a very dark Chapter in Independent India's History...when our Independence was suspended..just because the Court gave a verdict against Indira...

Respected Friend:  I was reading tweets of the Darbaari Media...most of them were not  even born then...but they try to show that India's under an Emergency now...

M: Fools.... even saying India is under an Emergency then would have landed you in jail.....now they say what they want.... fire their mouths at will..

RF: They enjoy total freedom...say what they want. ....but they construe being questioned on Social Media as an undeclared Emergency...they don't like to  be questioned!!!

M: They say now Government controls what we eat.... wear and say!!

RF: Baloney... the Constitution bans Cow slaughter... to please Muslims the ban was not enforced .....some day it had to be enforced..... every civil Society has a perception  of dressing civilly....as for saying... they say what they want.... even insult and abuse Modi...

M: In their animosity to BJP they even loose their commmon sense...there's a proposal to set the default temperature setting in air conditioners at 24°... which means when you switch on your air conditioner its temperature  setting will be 24° and its up to you to increase or decrease the temperature..a TV Anchor is saying this is undemocratic...

RF: Yes I read her Tweet ... she tried to show this as an attack on her freedom...stupid!!

M: 24° is just ideal... air conditioning does not mean freeze yourself...if that were the case then the nomenclature would be window or wall mounted freezers...central freezers...

RF: Isn't she one of the Darbaari Anchor's .... the Channel is blatantly anti Modi!!

M: Another Journo goes and pens an article in an American Newspaper...... that in India even the External Affairs Minister can be attacked by Trolls..

RF: Idiotic....in America isn't Trump trolled .....in fact all those in Power are trolled there....here why MEA even PM is trolled... its Democracy... and those being trolled  can block Trolls ...and if they feel they've been defamed they can file a defemation case... these are Democracy's checks and balances...

M: Problem is they miss the UPA days ...when they could  get people who question them barred on SM...

RF: In fact even during the Raj of Indira's kith and kin we've been under a semi Emergency...why.... because we were ruled by a Party which was a Autocracy...otherwise how  do you explain the lateral entry  of RaGa into politics....remove  his surname and circulate his Resume for a job... he'd  ...with great difficulty... get a Junior Manager's job... and that too if the Interviewer is in a tearing hurry and just asks him his name and DOB..

M: Speaking of RaGa... wasn't he supposed to be going on a pilgrimage to Kedarnath..

RF: Was all a drama for Hindu votes...anyway they  are back to Muslim appeasement...

M: But beauty is when  needed he will play the Hindu card again...

RF: Ganga gaye toh Ganga Ram... Jamuna gaye toh Jamuna  Das...many Indians suffer from Stockholm Syndrome...

M: This is what one admires in Modi... during his trips he goes to Mandirs as a devotee out of reverence .... and sometimes goes to Masjids... not as a Believer but a Tourist...to please his Hosts!! He doesn't change his belief for votes....

RF: Coming  back to the Emergency......Indira thought post  Emergency that she had enslaved Indians.... next election....Indians dumped her...

M: Indira must have been a huge fan of Hitler and I think her favorite Hitler saying would have been..."Make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it”.....

RF: Her family still believes and uses it.....

We decide to walk the Mall and pay the tab and move out!

Modi Down But Not Out
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s popularity is going down with each passing day, they say. “Modi as PM has not been able to fulfill the aspirations of people and, thus, he should go”. But then Who is the PM material in the country ?

whispersinthecorridors.com asked its surfers - Is there a substitute for PM Narendra Modi in BJP or any other political party ? If so, who ? – and the majority said that the country is, at present, short of having a person of the stature of Modi.

DEBATE

Who has been the most succesfull bureaucrat turned politician ?

Eyeing politics as a vibrant medium of serving the nation, several civil servants have in the past several years identified politics as more suitable career to serve the people. Given the fact that they found the political system much comfortable and active in order to bring about the desired change, it however remains to be seen that who among the bureaucrats (who turned politicians) have been most succesfull both in the state and at the Centre.
