Polavaram Project: a bone of contention ?

Polavaram Dam Project seems to a bone of contention between Andhra Pradesh and GoI. The project's revised cost estimate(RCE), which was send by the AP govt., is lying before CWC for scrutiny since January this year. AP CM has written a letter to Nitin Gadkari, Water Resources Minister in this regard and sought his intervention.

Biggest Mistake...

I'm still in cool-cool Shimla. Today my Respected Friend.... retired Senior Bureaucrat meets me at a Tibetan Eatery... over Soups and Momos we get chatting

Me: Like the Hydra beast seems another head has emerged of Bankrupt Cambridge Analytica... I see its hand in the attempts to cover up Indira's Emergency with what they term as Modi's Emergency.... and Article 370 blunder...

Respected Friend: First and foremost why did Indira put India under an Emergency...her misdeeds were catching up and she got the  inkling she'd lose power... Modi faces no such threat...and even if he did BJP is not Congress..... its not under the control of one person or family...such a step can only be taken  by a Totalatarian....

M: And if there were an Emergency now all the anti Modi Journos would have been in Jail.... whereas truth is they are free to attack Modi day in and day out...when it comes to taking criticism ....likes of Sushma.... Sonia..... Didi.... Bhenji should  take tutorials  from Modi...

RF: Indira's Emergency... all Indians were scared of the Government ... whereas in 'Modi's so said Emergency' only the Darbari Media is scared of Social Media...fact is India's never been more Democratic...some would even say.....too Democratic for India's own good...

M: Those in this Government  communicate with us all the time .....quite often accept our ideas... in Mann ki Baath Modi names and thanks those whose ideas he finds useful..

RF: With the Darbari Media its the corrupt who feel stifled now.... in fact  Modi has taken the fun and games out of Politics... now its work... work...  work!!

M: Coming to Article 370...

RF: Very cleverly

Congress and its Darbaaris have  spun a yarn that Sardar Patel was willing to let go off Kashmir for Hyderabad... fact is I've heard recording of his speech ... he says India will not give up an inch of Kashmir...fight for it tooth and nail...

M: And then you have RaGa who again gets his foot in his mouth... says there are 4 Political Parties in Kashmir and then goes on to name 5... ...BJP... Congress who he calls Nationalists...PDP and NC and then very stupidly names Terrorists in Pakistan as a Political Party...

RF: Whaaaa.... daft.... how can the Terror lot be classified as a Political Party....like calling Bank Robbers as  Members of a Bank Union... really he's gone bonkers...

M: I'm sure the Older lot in Congress would have winced hearing this .....

RF: But do also remember ... today's older lot .... were all handpicked  by Sanjay Gandhi.... the Emergency Enforcer...in fact another tit-bit.... its alleged that Rajiv was against lifting of Emergency...

M: Kya khaandan hai...

M: If something negative comes out about India... you have RaGa and his Darbaris in celebratory and humorous mode...like take this Report by Thompson Reuters placing India as the unsafest place for Women in the World...as per them women in Syria and Afghanistan are safer....they say its based on perception.... and perceptions of 548 individuals were taken anonymously...

RF: Baloney... I'm sure had they polled the Women in their Office the result would have been different...

M: Britain's population is a fraction of India's population and still incidence of rape is many fold higher than in India..rapes per 100,000 ....UK is 17 and India is 1.7...

RF: Goras often cover their shameful situation by saying many rapes go unreported in India... well even if you triple 1.7 still we come way lower than UK...

M: BBC had tried it.... to show India as the rape Capital...I don't know why but I see the hand of the Church....

RF: Yes... NGOs working  for the Church banned here....the Church is mighty displeased with Modi Government....why even the local Archbishops have shown this...

M: And then we have RaGa .... celebrating this news.... he knows the truth ...he should  be up in arms.....after all he is an Indian....

RF: Why do you think they say.....Emergency was not the biggest mistake of Gandhis .... RaGa is their biggest mistake..

We have a good laugh ....pay the tab and move out.

Modi Down But Not Out
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s popularity is going down with each passing day, they say. “Modi as PM has not been able to fulfill the aspirations of people and, thus, he should go”. But then Who is the PM material in the country ?

whispersinthecorridors.com asked its surfers - Is there a substitute for PM Narendra Modi in BJP or any other political party ? If so, who ? – and the majority said that the country is, at present, short of having a person of the stature of Modi.

DEBATE

Who has been the most succesfull bureaucrat turned politician ?

Eyeing politics as a vibrant medium of serving the nation, several civil servants have in the past several years identified politics as more suitable career to serve the people. Given the fact that they found the political system much comfortable and active in order to bring about the desired change, it however remains to be seen that who among the bureaucrats (who turned politicians) have been most succesfull both in the state and at the Centre.
