This is History (954)

One must beware of ministers who can do nothing without money, and those who want to do everything with money.

Will TRS join NDA ?

Meeting of the son of Telengana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao with PM Narendra Modi has fuelled speculations about TRS’s joining the NDA. This is just to counter Chandra Babu Naidu.

Akali Dal likely to get post of  Dy Chairman, RS

If sources are to be believed Akali Dal nominee  is likely to file nomination for the post of Dy Chairperson of Rajya Sabha as NDA candidate. Name of Naresh Gujaral of Akali Dal is doing the rounds for the post.

Revolutionary Foreign Policy...

My friend who works for a Foreign Policy Think Tank drops in and over Jal Jeera and Aloo Chaat we get chatting.

Me: Now the Darbaris have been ordered to attack Modi on his Foreign Policy.

Friend: In a nut shell... Globally now we sit at the High Table...never before has India achieved this... secondly  never before has India taken on US and China ... we are 'on a first name basis' with many Nations..

M: A Darbaari who runs a Web News Rag seems to be at the forefront of trying to damn Modi's Foreign Policy..

F: I know who you mean... don't blame the poor guy... he's  fallen from his perch ...maansik santullan hill gaya hai..the Darbaris have a problem with Modi's ' hug diplomacy'!!!

M: Yup 'their Bosses' can't even dream of hugging a World Leader.....only someone who is a Leader of the masses can indulge in this kind of Diplomacy....Puppet and Lateral Entry types are naturally meek and weak... bow don't hug...

F: Modi has succeeded despite the fact that the conservative Nehruvian mindset Bureaucracy has resisted... then the Federal structure which gives Opposition ruled States latitude to frustrate Centre's Foreign Policy attempts.. like Didi not agree to River Water Sharing with Bangladesh... and our financial constraints...

M: Neighbourhood First.... India is countering a very aggressive China .... which is willing to dole out money to buy servility.... because China does not believe in friendship...India looks for friendships..but don't forget our Aid Budget is $ 3 Billion whereas China's is $ 30 Billion.....do I even need to name the greedy in the neighbourhood who have preferred servility to friendship...

F: What our relations used to be with US.... it was easy to see US valued Pakistan as an Ally and not us!!! Modi changed  all that..... we've conducted Joint Exercises with US and resisted  China's One Belt One Road ..... and sided with affected Nations against China's attempts for dominance in the South China Sea.....much to US's appreciation!! Then the Chabahar Port....

M: Don't forget the trashing of Pakistan globally!!!

F: On US.... Trump is a known Bully.... and the only way to tackle a Bully is ... stand up to him. And that is what Modi is doing....

M: As somone very knowledgeable in Foreign Affairs has said....Modi's Foreign Policy has been so revolutionary so as to mark  the beginning  of Indian 'third Republic'... by the way can RaGa even spell Foreign Policy without prompting..

F: Speaking of RaGa ...lying comes naturally to him...after vowing to go on a pilgrimage to Mansarovar RaGa is trying to lie his way out of his vow..

M: I read a Tweet by National Herald [NH] saying that BJP Government  was not giving him permission..

F: Baloney... he's not applied for permission ...had he applied NH would have attached Copy of his application with the Tweet...

M: I think the journey is too arduous for him.... or he feels he'll anger the Muslims...

F: Hear ED is now preparing to auction Mallya's assets and raise 10,000 crores..

M: Yup... they'll apply to PMLA seeking permission ..

F: His UB Shares and properties... they say his 15% shares in UB should  raise 4500 crores and properties about 5000 crores..there's a Worldwide freeze on his assets...so he can't sell his UK and Wales Properties ...

M: The same mode would be used to attach and encash  Nirav and Choksi assets...

F: Very soon you will have Bollywood  making movies about Mallya...Nirav and Choksi..

M: I think we need to stop making real life villians look like reel-life heroes....see this movie Sanju...

F: And also stop trying to make a Dumbo look like he's fit to be the PM.... sabh exaggerations karro bandh...

I see my friend off at the door.

Modi Down But Not Out
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s popularity is going down with each passing day, they say. “Modi as PM has not been able to fulfill the aspirations of people and, thus, he should go”. But then Who is the PM material in the country ?

whispersinthecorridors.com asked its surfers - Is there a substitute for PM Narendra Modi in BJP or any other political party ? If so, who ? – and the majority said that the country is, at present, short of having a person of the stature of Modi.

DEBATE

Who has been the most succesfull bureaucrat turned politician ?

Eyeing politics as a vibrant medium of serving the nation, several civil servants have in the past several years identified politics as more suitable career to serve the people. Given the fact that they found the political system much comfortable and active in order to bring about the desired change, it however remains to be seen that who among the bureaucrats (who turned politicians) have been most succesfull both in the state and at the Centre.
