In a chit chat  people say Rahul Gandhi can not counter PM Narendra Modi but only those who have been Chief Ministers like Gulam Nabi Azad, Ashok Gehlot, Digvijay Singh  ,Sushil Kumar Shinde and Amrinder Singh with their experiences  can face him.

Who will be new Governor of J & k ?

Who will be the new Governor of J & K after the Amarnath Yatra.Three names are under active consideration of the Government-former IB Chief Dineshwar Sharma,former R&AW Chief Alok Joshi  and former Union Home Secretary and present CAG Rajiv Mehrishi.

Gujarat CM continues tradition

Continuing the tradition of hosting & greeting the meritorious children of CMO employees started by Narendra Modi the former Gujarat CM, the present Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani today felicitated 30 students who have cleared Standard 10-12th & Degree-Diploma courses this year and wished them for their bright future. On this occasion K. Kailashnathan (CPS-to CM),  M K Das (PS to CM) and Ashwani Kamar (PS  I/C and CM) were also present.

My Respected Friend... retired Senior Bureaucrat....is on a trip to Delhi. We meet at my favourite CP Coffee Shop and over Muffins and Lattes we get chatting.

Me: Article 35 is against the ethos of a Democracy.... it makes people of a certain State more free than people from other States...

Respected Friend: The very same people who were opposing  NRC - Assam are now talking about protecting indigenous culture in J&K using Article 35 ....

A. Settling Rohingyas won’t impact their so called “culture” but settling fellow Indians will? These people are like pennies-two faced and worthless!

M: There are other States that practice this undemocratic exclusivity....take HP....outsiders......what a stupid term.... cannot buy agri land but can buy Urban Property...

RF: So for starters follow HP ....  keep only Farm Land under the ambit of this thoughtless Law... Article 35!!! I'm sure hardworking and ingenious Punjab Farmers can do so much in Kashmir...

M: Just scare-mongering going on...that if Article 35 is expunged the J&K Cops will rebel...

RF: I simply do not understand why a new Guv is not being appointed in J&K...

M: Sir I don't understand why such huge chunks of Prime Land in the State of Delhi is being occupied by these so called Sthals or Memorials....245 acres... I think there is already a decision to disallow any new Sthals... but what about the old one's..

RF: Yes... dedicate say 6 acres for these 25 odd Sthals .... 1000 square yards per Sthal... with only Gandhi's Sthal getting 2000 square yards..

M: On the freed land make Government Offices.... or MP or MLA flats ...  and free land in Luytens too....only PM and Cabinet get Bunglows...rest Flats ... 

RF: And if anyone can do all this its Modi....chalo not this stint....next stint...

M: Ghadkari said something on Reservations and Jobs...now RaGa using it to criticise BJP on jobs...

RF:  On one side Opposition demands Reservation in Jobs and on the other hand says ..No Jobs...

M: So could be a tongue in cheek by Ghadkari... Sudhendra Kulkarni who is very close to Advani... has said that Pakistan is in dire straits financially and India should help out...in spirit of Padosi Dharma...

RF: 1947....1965.... 1971.....1993..... 1999..... 26/11.... Punjab..... Kashmir.....Parliament attack. Hundreds of terror strikes. Aren't we lucky to have such a Padosi....

M: Oddly....but understandably at the same time.... Udhav doesn't want BJP to celebrate its victories in recent elections in Maharashtra... Sena did badly..

RF: I think Modi and Shah should send Bouquets of Flowers to Udhav for gifting  his core saffron Votebank to BJP.... and now the 5% Muslim Reservation is pushing even the semi Saffron lot to BJP...

M: Or Sir maybe Udhav got wind of the Saffron votebank exit and is now trying to get some Muslim votes...

RF: Tharoor's comment has angered Nagas.... he called their headgear...hilarious and outlandish...

M: Sir.... I feel in his attempt to please Madam he forgot  that he'd hurt Naga sentiments...

RF: Yes... I note this is now an epidemic in Opposition..... fire and then take aim!!!!

We have a good laugh ...pay the tab and move out...
