BSP Supremo Mayawati is in dilemma these days. Pact with Congress seems to be impossible. Government agencies are waiting for the green signal from the Government. It is felt in the ruling party, if Mayawati goes the Lalu Yadav way, the BSP will be disintegrated in four or five parts.

Friend: The biggest scam .....for Congress...this is a 0 Commission Deal. As usual RaGa who is leading the attack is bereft of info... unless the India specific upgrads which cost € 1.7 billion are not factored in ....this Deal cannot be evaluated...

M: India Specific Upgrades...

F: These India specific upgrades, ordered specifically on the request of the IAF, make the IAF Rafales more capable than what France operates...contrary to what some may believe, these 14 India specific enhancements are not the figment of anyone's imagination. They were a component of what the UPA failed to negotiate and are now a part of what the IAF is getting.

M: As it is Bare Jet price is lower now...

F: Critically, talks on the cost of these India specific upgrades were primarily between the IAF and Dassault during the UPA regime and never progressed to conclusive cost negotiations between Dassault and HAL which was supposed to build Rafales in India.

M: So basically its impossible to compare the Rafalle UPA was negotiating and the Rafalle India got...

F: The new specs include... Low Band Jammer, Towed Decoy System, Upgraded Engine, Additional Modes in the Radar and higher resolution in the Front Sector Optronics....theis Rafale with India Specific upgrades has structural differences compared with what the French operate. This is to accommodate a new Israeli Satellite Communications system...

M: Wow..

F: The Confidentiality Pact in this Deal extends to Israel as well as France. Is Israel okay with sharing cost and other details of its equipment on the Rafale? The helmet mounted sight on Rafale is Israeli but there is a significant upgrade involved in making these compatible with the Meteor and Scalp Missiles being acquired...

M: Had no idea about Israeli involvement.... Israelis won't share info even about a Nail Made in Israel..

F: Targeting and other symbology specifics to these weapon systems is being integrated into this helmet mounted sight. The changes demanded by India also involve significant changes to the “Modular Data Processing Unit” (MDPU) of the Rafale, a new generation mission computer. So as you can see RaGa's rants have no basis..

M: Arre India now discounts what he says...on Rafale he even involved the French President in his lie...

F: And now on Mallya issue he's again lied... involved a Congress RS MP... only the lie got caught by the time line provided in RS and Vighyan Bhavan feeds...

M: Now he's involved the CBI Director...

F: If jiggery-pokkery took place it was at the level of Banks and involvement of some Officials in Finance Ministry...and of course Mallya's Political friends....

M: If SBI or PNB got wind of Mallya's plan to run away why did they not approach Court....

F: Now a Letter written by Mallya to MMS ...the PM then..is in the Public Domain .. this letter clearly shows how Mallya got his way with the help of PMO...

M: So what will Mr. Guppis new fibs be....

F: On Rafale.....'on returning from Kaliash Mansarovar I got a flash.... Rafale Deal mein bahut ghoos hai'...

M: And on Mallya....I have conclusive proof...Jaitley ji is a fan of RCB and at home even wears a RCB T Shirt ....

F: Very easy to photoshop Jaitley wearing a RCB T Shirt...Congress's IT Wing has the expertise....

M: Well after learning about Rafale from you...see these pics... one pic shows the Rafale India will get and the other the Rafale UPA was negotiating for .....

We have a good laugh and I see my friend off at the door.

Babus Find Politics More Vibrant To Serve The People

Much has been said from time to time on the merits and demerits of bureaucrats joining politics. It has also been debated for long whether there should be a ‘cooling off’ period for a civil servant before he enters politics after quitting or even after retirement.

While difference of opinion over these issues can never be ruled out, there could be no two opinions that, theoretically bureaucrats are most eligible and efficient persons for becoming politicians as they are well acquainted with ground realities - necessary for policy formation.

Having worked at various stages - at district level as collectors, at state level in secretariat and , in majority cases, at various positions in central government, they are supposed to be well versed with the ‘process of policy implementation’ - a boon to serve the nation in their stint as a politician and as a minister in government in particular,.

But since the officers rarely have the freedom to work as they please, and are mostly employed in service of politicians and not the State, many of them - eyeing politics as a vibrant medium of serving the nation - join it.

There is a long list of former bureaucrats, police officers, diplomats, technocrats, academics and army officers who are into politics.

They include familiar names like General VK Singh, Kiran Bedi, Ms. Meira Kumar, Hardeep Puri, RK Singh, Sanjiv Tripathi, Mani Shankar Aiyar, N K Singh, Satyapal Singh, Bhagirath Prasad, Yashwant Sinha, Ajit Jogi, Nagabhairava Jayaprakash Narayan, Alphons Kannanthanam, Jesudasu Seelam, J Sundara Sekhar, Arvind Kejriwal, PL Punia and the list goes on.........
