This is History (927)

In a time of domestic crisis, men of goodwill and generosity should be able to unite regardless of party or politics.

Who will win Lord Ram, Lord Vishnu or Lord Shiva ?

This time in elections, while the BJP will depend on Lord Ram, the Samajwadi Party will focus around Lord Vishnu and the  Congress  will  go around on Lord Shiva. .Let us see what happens ?

Number of Ex-IAS,IPS and IFS  join  Congress  and BJP in Chhattisgarh

A total 23 ex-IAS, IPS and IFS officers have joined the BJP and 13 have joined the Congress in Chhattisgarh.

My Lords....

My Respected Friend, retired Senior Bureaucrat,  is in Delhi and we meet at a Iconic  Coffee House in CP.... over Cheese Cutlets and Cona Coffees we get chatting.

Respected Friend: I just met a Retired AVM and he was telling me RaGa simply gone bonkers..

Me: Why....if you can divulge...

RF: RaGa says Modi's put Rs 20,000 crores  in Reliance's pocket.... does he thinks its pocket  money .... Dassault - Reliance Aerospace (DRA) is already assembling cockpits for Falcon Jets in Mihan, Nagpur...involves huge Capital... Infra... Manpower...

M: Actually in RaGa's World there are just Free Lunches...

RF: DRDO to get 30% of the Offset Business....72 Companies  will share Rs 6500 crores... of this estimated that DRA will get 10% .... Rs 650 crores...

M: And RaGa forgets when he says Reliance is a Newbie... this is a Dassault -Reliance Venture.... so Dassault's experience also counts...

RF: And at present with the huge investments DRA Balance Sheet will be in the Red...by the way...  Reliance Infrastructure (RInfra) controlled RDEL has signed the Master Ship Repair Agreement (MSRA) with US Navy...

M: But I'm surprised RaGa thinks the entire Offset amount will go into Reliance's pocket.... arre -- they have to deliver Made in India goods worth Rs 650 crores...like is being  done at DRA facility at Mihan....

RF: I'd be surprised if at this stage they'd even make a profit ..... I hear Hollande is a loudmouth and he's just proved it to us....when he came to Delhi ....as per my experience.... nitty-gritty of Offsets could not have been discussed...Offset nitty gritty would have started much later.... after Hollande was out and Marcon in...

M: Sir, I think its sheer guilty conscience..... Congress knows what all it has done for decades in Defence Deals and is now not being able to come to terms that this is a Clean Deal!!

RF: Modi's credibility....  Discredited Congress.... and Common Man becoming smarter and more aware ...will ensure no one will buy RaGa's fibs......he's just making apni izzat ka falooda..

RF: Congress epitomizes double standards.... Rajiv had said just 16 paisa of every Subsidy Rupee reached Ground Zero.... 84 paisa is pilfered... now when Modi via Aaadhar saved Rs 64000 crores by identifying fake beneficiaries Congress  has a problem...

M: Sir sad part is....anti-Modi lot.... want jobs but won't support Make in India.... want secure Borders but will mock Surgical Strikes and Army...want cleanliness but won't  join  Swatchtha Sewa.....want poor to be helped but will joke about  Ayushman Bharat...

RF: Now get ready for Headlines from Darbaaris.... Patient  dies despite Ayushman Bharat ...

M: Aaadhar not mandatory for opening Bank Account.....PAN Card mandatory for opening Bank Account......Aaadhar-PAN card linking mandatory.... My Lords you are the best....bottom line...

Babus Find Politics More Vibrant To Serve The People

By Sanjay Sharma

Much has been said from time to time on the merits and demerits of bureaucrats joining politics. It has also been debated for long whether there should be a ‘cooling off’ period for a civil servant before he enters politics after quitting or even after retirement.

While difference of opinion over these issues can never be ruled out, there could be no two opinions that, theoretically bureaucrats are most eligible and efficient persons for becoming politicians as they are well acquainted with ground realities - necessary for policy formation.

Having worked at various stages - at district level as collectors, at state level in secretariat and , in majority cases, at various positions in central government, they are supposed to be well versed with the ‘process of policy implementation’ - a boon to serve the nation  in their stint as a politician and as a minister in government in particular,.

But since the officers rarely have the freedom to work as they please, and are mostly employed in service of politicians and not the State, many of them  - eyeing politics as a vibrant medium of serving the nation - join it.

There is a long list of former bureaucrats, police officers, diplomats, technocrats, academics and army officers who are into politics.

They include familiar names like General VK Singh, Kiran Bedi, Ms. Meira Kumar, Hardeep Puri, RK Singh, Sanjiv Tripathi, Mani Shankar Aiyar, N K Singh, Satyapal Singh, Bhagirath Prasad, Yashwant Sinha, Ajit Jogi, Nagabhairava Jayaprakash Narayan, Alphons Kannanthanam, Jesudasu Seelam, J Sundara Sekhar, Arvind Kejriwal, PL Punia and the list goes on.........
