Friend: Now this is how biased.... as you call them ....Darbaari Media..... works.... a Leading Daily has compared the assets of ex CJI and new CJI.....

Me: I read the article....I think what they mean to say.....as the new CJI does not have a House and Home Mortgage he's supposed to be morally superior than the ex CJI who has a House and Home Mortgage....

F: I just wonder how the Asset comparison between this PM.... and the real PM of UPA would look...

M: Ha ha.... if they did it there would be footnotes galore ...justifying why Madam's assets outstrip Modi's....

F: Now today they've gone after Air Chief Marshal... who gave the Air Force's perspective on the Rafalle Deal.... and why HAL was not in a position to take any Orders...

M: Yes HAL is considerably late on all the Orders it's handling....Sukhoi... Jaguar Upgrade.... Tejas.... Trainer Aircraft...

F: They are projecting that ACM Dandona was out of line...

M: Why....he was right in giving the Air Force's perspective.... he was not taking sides in the political spat...

F: There's talk about the IT Head of Congress getting the sack because of her 'PM is Chor' tweet...

M: Maybe she'll be appointed Governess of 12 Tuglaq Road....

F: Baba..... nahaaye ke nahi....brush kiya..... nails dikhao....chew your food.... don't eat Pidhi's jhoota....Baba ka khaana pack karro... drink lots of water...

M: Ha ha.... now that RaGa is showing no signs of getting married....don't you feel his home must be crying for a Lady's touch...

F: So Maya has broken hopes of a Mahagatbandhan.. seems she found RaGa too dictatorial....

M: Recently RaGa went hyper attacking Modi ...as Congress does not have the presence to throw its weight.... maybe RaGa was attacking Modi LRC so that Congress's stock would rise..

F: This is the power of Modi ..... some criticise him to gain prominence ...

M: Now RaGa says Rupee is broken..

F: Foolish ...Rupee is not weakening its the Dollar that's strengthening .... Dollar has risen against all Curencies... if Rupee was falling it'd fall at the same rate vis a vis other currencies too...

M: But UPA did not leave any kassar to break the Rupee's back.... Raghuram's Bonds that were to shore up the Rupee... he knew the payback would be the headache of next RBI Guv....

F: Oil will rise more.... and with prices being dynamic here... prices will rise..

M: Reduction in mobile prices has cushioned the fuel price effect on our Purses ...now hope is on Jio to reduce DTH charges similarly and start a price war... thereby cushioning further fuel price hike effect on our Purses....

F: RIL .... Reliance Inflation Leveraging ....

F: Hold on..... just got a message.. Centre has reduced Fuel prices by Rs. 2.50 and asked States to match....Maharashtra has reduced prices by 2.50... so total ...5.00 reduction in Maharashtra..

M: Now RaGa will say .... why did Centre wait for so long....

F: Ronna Dhonna Laazmi hai.....

We have a good laugh and I pay the tab and we move out.

Babus Find Politics More Vibrant To Serve The People

Much has been said from time to time on the merits and demerits of bureaucrats joining politics. It has also been debated for long whether there should be a ‘cooling off’ period for a civil servant before he enters politics after quitting or even after retirement.

While difference of opinion over these issues can never be ruled out, there could be no two opinions that, theoretically bureaucrats are most eligible and efficient persons for becoming politicians as they are well acquainted with ground realities - necessary for policy formation.

Having worked at various stages - at district level as collectors, at state level in secretariat and , in majority cases, at various positions in central government, they are supposed to be well versed with the ‘process of policy implementation’ - a boon to serve the nation in their stint as a politician and as a minister in government in particular,.

But since the officers rarely have the freedom to work as they please, and are mostly employed in service of politicians and not the State, many of them - eyeing politics as a vibrant medium of serving the nation - join it.

There is a long list of former bureaucrats, police officers, diplomats, technocrats, academics and army officers who are into politics.

They include familiar names like General VK Singh, Kiran Bedi, Ms. Meira Kumar, Hardeep Puri, RK Singh, Sanjiv Tripathi, Mani Shankar Aiyar, N K Singh, Satyapal Singh, Bhagirath Prasad, Yashwant Sinha, Ajit Jogi, Nagabhairava Jayaprakash Narayan, Alphons Kannanthanam, Jesudasu Seelam, J Sundara Sekhar, Arvind Kejriwal, PL Punia and the list goes on.........
