People who have seen Donald Trump’s initial style of functioning today say that he has learnt a lot from Indian politics. Is there any substance in their observation ?

Grapevine has it that if Congress wins the upcoming Assembly elections in Rajasthan, Ashok Gehlot will be the Chief Minister in that state. Let’s wait and watch.

Still in Shimla..  today I meet my respected friend at a Eatery in Lower Bazar.... over samosas and jalebis washed down with Pahadi tea we get chatting....

Me: Congress and it's Darbaaris in extreme pain on the phenomenal rise of India's ranking in World Bank's Ease of doing Business Index.. trying every  trick to play down this achievement..

Respected Friend: Yes  reading the Tweets..someone tweeted... maybe Court will be petitioned and Court will Order... that World Bank should submit in a sealed envelope the rationale for India's phenomenal rise ...the methodology used...Font used should be Arial 14..

M: Ha ha...just a few weeks back Court said it was not asking for Rafalle pricing.... and a few weeks later it wants pricing details...

RF: SC doesn't usually do such flip-flops....

M: Yes I read about it ..foolishly the Dassault investment is being construed as a Windfall for Reliance from Dassault.....

RF: Seems Darbaaris feel Dassault should have got a share in DRAL for free...

RF: Do they mean to say Reliance Airport Infra got its shareholding in Reliance Aerospace for ..love and fresh air....

M: Today anything that Modi does is put under the microscope... I think no PM has been under this kind of scrutiny... his truly is Prime Ministership by the test of fire..

RF: To attack Advani they used to sing Psalms of Vajpayee...now to attack Modi the same lot are concerned about Advani..10 years down the line when Modi's done his job they'll attack the next Leader and praise Modi...

M: RaGa is visiting Mandirs.....MP ..Chattisgarh...Rajasthan he will go Mandir hopping... UP .... Bihar he will not go to Mandirs... if he does... he will also go to Masjids..
