JLN's Blunders....
I'm sipping my morning Cuppa at my favorite Connaught Place Cafe...my friend who works for a Political Think Tank joins me. I order a Coffee for him and we get chatting...
Friend: Tharoor says Modi should be thankful that Nehru (JLN) gave India such a Democracy ...in which even a Chaiwala could become a PM..
Me: That's not JLN's but Ambedkar's gift....JLN had his Dictatorial streaks...JLN got TOI banned from advertising because some articles were critical of his Prohibition policy. Got Majrooh Sultanpuri arrested for calling him Hitler ka Chela and Commonwealth ka daas. A.D. Gorwala's column in TOI was banned because it was critical of him. Democrat my foot! As for his future Generations... its often said Autocracies that ran Democracies...
F: And what to say of his Himalyan Blunders...for example... while JLN focused shamelessly on furthering Red China’s interests, Mao invaded independent Tibet in October 1950, built a road through and then annexed Western Ladakh, and then slapped JLN again in 1962....
M: JLN refused US's Offer in 1950 for a UNSC Seat... and then again in 1955 a Soviet Offer for a UNSC seat..JLN cited China's National interest on both occassions....in most Countries JLN type would not be a hero....
F: Kashmir is another blunder of his... and his future generations just added to it...
M: Rafalle Petitioners ... Shourie ....Yashwant and Shotgun.....most intriguing characters of our times...were desperate to become Ministers in 2014... in fact thought it was their right... were early supporters of Modi.... did not get Cabinet Berths and became Modi's fiercest critics...
F: Court summoning IAF Officers really intriguing....read a Tweet...at this rate very soon Court will summon President of India and ask him why did he summon a Party to form Government.... next POTUS and then UN Chief...
M: Naaa.. don't overdo it.....
F: But believe me there is a feeling that Court is getting into stuff that does not come in Court's preview...I've read so many Tweets that it's time Modi took on Court...
M: No that's not Modi's style...he's too mature....see how deftly he handles his Critics....
F: But whatever anyone may say Modi has never overstepped the Laxman Rekha ...when it comes to Courts..
M: Coming back to Democrat Nehru... both he and his daughter were so humble that they gave themselves Bharat Ratnas...
F: In fact someone has said... if someone asked me to praise Nehru or Indhra I'd praise 'or'...
We both have a good laugh... pay the tab and move out...

Modi – most popular among world leaders ?
Assessing relative popularity of world leaders, may not be possible in absence of facilities for conducting surveys in such a large sample comprising several countries, though, to elicit opinion of its surfers, whispers in the corridors.com asked them –
Among top four world leaders viz. Donald Trump – President of USA, Xi Jinping – President of China, Vladimir Putin – President of Russia and Narendra Modi – Prime Minister of India, who is most popular.

And the opinion of the majority was that he is none other than the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi.
