Former Principal Secretary to the then Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh ,Dr Amar Singh has won Lok Sabha polls from Fatehgarh Sahib in Punjab. Former 1981 batch IAS officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre Dr Amar Singh  defeated his batch-mate Darbara Singh Guru the Akali Dal candidate. Incidently Guru was also Principal Secretary to the then Punjab Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal.

I take the 5:13 fast from Churchgate. Today it's not my treat but I carry a box of Mithai.....waiting for me in  the usual campartment are my Train Buddies Amar... Akbar and Antony.  Amar too has bought Mithai and we distribute the Mithai amongst  our fellow travellers...Bharat Mata ji Jai chants reverberate in the Compartment ...

Amar: Motha Bhai Congrats...
Me: Congrats Amar Bhai.... what a win....if you drive in a straight line from Kerala to Punjab the only State that has a Congress MP ...is the Destination.....Punjab...

Akbar: Winning and losing are part of the game...
Amar: That dialogue was used in 2014... shelf life has expired...end of many Dynasties this time...
Me: Rajiv's son (from Family Bastion)...Scindia's son... Ghelot's son.... Gogoi's son.... Hooda's son...Deora's son.... Ajit Pawar's son...Chandrababu Naidu's son....all lost.....end of Caste politics.. ... Maya... Aki... Tejaswi...all lost!!

Me: If so..... a CWC meet will be called to consider his resignation...chosen Congis will cry in the meeting.... one may even tear his Kurta.... and utlimately the resignation will be unanimously rejected...logic..... Election is Collective Responsibility!
Amar: Mota Bhai Gandhis could save face and appoint Gehlot as the President fpr the time being.... RaGa could then travel without giving excuses...
Antony: I'm in depression... why didn't Congress strike crucial Alliances!!! 
Amar: See how Amit Shah didn't let the Allies leave.... even gave them extra seats..many Muslims and Christians voted for BJP...Development and Benefits reached everyone... no one was precluded ....
Me: I feel knee jerk NYAY ....and Chowkidar  Chor damaged Congress's electoral prospects.....problem is RaGa's  mindset..his stupid notion about his superiority....
Amar: And this election Congis got to see the real Priyanka... one minute she's smiling and joking and next  minute she's brimstone and fire..
Akbar: I wonder  when and how will RaGa bounce back...
Me: If you think Indians are fools then  hope for this... his Rafalle charges gone kaput... 100% match in VVPAT slips (only 1 mismatch on account of technical flaw) so this issue is over too...
Antony: So then what should Gandhis   do...
Amar: Short term.... go on a holiday... give themselves and Congress a break...
Me: Long term... Congress should make Sonia... RaGa and Priyanka Maargdakshaks and elect a Leader democratically.....Gandhis should be like the British Monarchy is in UK... Titular

Train pulls into Andheri and we alight... two with a spring in our steps  and two just trudge along....
