Amit Shah was arrested and barred from Gujarat and was smeared during the UPA rule with allegations during July 2010  and September 2012. The then Union Home Minister for most of those 26 months was Dr P Chidambaram. Today, Dr Chidambaram and son Karthi have 20+ court hearings and bail applications in serious corruption cases and the new Union Home Minister is Amit Shah ! That’s called Karma !

Even as May 30 saw world leaders, politicians, industrialists and Bollywood personalities witness the swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a second term in a row, many people were also curious to know who was the gentleman in cream colour suit conducting the  oath ceremony – calling the Ministers for taking oath one by one . He is Sanjay Kothari, Secretary to the President Ramnath Kovind. Considered to be honest, upright and soft spoken, Kothari is 1978 batch Haryana cadre IAS officer.

Blunder of Blunders

I'm at my favourite Cafe... today I'm  joined by my friend who is a Journo and used to be pro Congress....but now his love for Congress has dissipated....over Coffees and Cookies we get chatting...

Friend: So Sonia will be CLP Chairperson.... what about  LS LOP..

Me: The real Talent dearth is in Congress ...  in LS.....RaGa's kavach of Hooda.....Scindia ....gone..... Shouting Brigade..... Sushmita Deb... Ranjita amd Renuka gone...

F: Maybe RaGa will be LOP..... unless Chiddy throws another tantrum for Karti to be LOP... Tharoor is there too.... but he'd speak in English that no one would understand...

M: RaGa's given  his 52 MPs a pep talk... indications are that he plans to hold up Parliament right from the  start..

F: Just saw a pic of RaGa with Pawar...   looks like RaGa's lamenting....God I asked for Power and you gave me Pawar...

M: Today I hear your Tribe.... Journos.... are saying.. we chose to ignore the various  schemes of NDA 1 that delivered benefits to Indians big time.....DBT proved to be a boon...JAM trinity.... Jan Dhan... Aadhar ... Mudra...

F: I wonder.. today RaGa looks a broken man.... if he didn't fathom the wipeout.... either he's politically naive or data misled him to overlook what must have been obvious..

M: Now it's  being  said RaGa was misled by a in-house  database headed by a Wharton Graduate...

F: Yes...Shakti registrations  were bogus....for Amethi loss they are blaming Aki and Maya....and Congress Seniors still say Marketing blitzkrieg won the  election for BJP... how can they cure what  they refuse to accept..

M: I wonder ....all this ronna dhona on Jobs .... have they linked the Jobs to the population growth during the period.... doesn't seem so...

F: So if you were RaGa what would you  do....

M: At least get on with my life... get married.... hoping that being a bachelor like Modi makes me (RaGa) acceptable and cleaner is a misnomer...

F: To be Modi he has to live the life Modi lived....which now is impossible....so RaGa might as well be himself and atleast not spoil the rest of his life running after an impossibile dream....

M: There's  only one person who can tell him this.... but she prefers to write  3 page letters praising him for a campaign that can be termed a blunder of blunders....

We pay the tab and walk out...

Who, minus, Rahul Gandhi can revive the Congress party ?

After the Congress's second consecutive devastating defeat in the Lok Sabha, the crisis within the party shows no signs of easing with Rahul Gandhi himself appearing adamant on resigning as president of the party. In such a case, the question that arises is - Who, other than Rahul Gandhi, can revive the grand old party ?
