Is India inching towards Presidential form of Government ?

Whispersinthecorridors has this indication from top bureaucratic circles that there is an apprehension of Presidential form of Government in the country. They have a reason-

1. Appointment of Amit Shah as Home Minister

2. System of lateral entry into the bureaucracy-American system

3. Appointment of IAS, IFS and Army officers as Ministers

4. Selection of top brains in different sectors

5. Portfolio allocation to Shiv Shankar and Hardeep Puri  is significant

6. Strong PM and PMO

Once BJP gets majority in Rajya Sabha next year this will come into reality ? And of course no challenger of Narendra Modi for two terms like American President ?

President’s rule in J & K to be extended

President’s Rule is being extended in J & K  for another six months. It was imposed in the State for six months on January 3 .

Conversation with a Retired Bureaucrat who is now working for a Multinational Company. After general chit-chat our conversation moves to current issues...

Me: Now Kejri has put the free travel for women on hold for 3 months...funnily after announcing he's looking into the modalities.... in his case hen comes before the egg..

Retired Bureaucrat:  Well firstly Delhi Government will have to Issue Passes to those who will travel free... arrive at Subsidy amount per pass..number of Passes multiplied with the Pass Fare  as agreed upon with DMRC and DTC... this amount will have to be reimbursed to DMRC and DTC by Delhi Government..

M: They'll take 3-6  months to work out modalities and put the blame on Centre 'Babus and DMRC creating roadblocks' ....for the delay....by that time Model Code of Conduct will kick in... and AAP would hope their intent to give free travel to Women will get them Votes....what is this Hulla about Akshay Patra meals in schools...hygienic and nutritious Veg Meals served  to 1.76 children in 15000 schools..

RB: Frankly as there is no egg ....meat... such meals are not to the liking of Meat besotted religions...and if it's not to their liking Khan Market Gang... Boti Kebab Gang.... Sausage Roll Gang....Pseudo Secular Media go after such issues hammer and tongs... as it is they have an allergy to all Hindu Festivals...

M: To hell with them... proof of the Halwa is many more Schools want these meals to be served to their Students..

RB: The scenario today...United By Culture, Divided by Politicians..... Abdullahs and Mufti want Aazad Kashmir on religion basis.....MK Stalin wants Dravida Nadu.....Didi hates Jai Shree Ram chants, loves Rohingyas and Bangladeshis.....Hindi is annoying South Indians thanks to Politicians there.....now gender divide by Kejriwal...

M: This angst towards Hindi down South is illogical...One India.... should have One Language that is common Language ....and is spoken  and understood in the entire Country... so if a Tamilian from Chennai migrates... or temporarily shifts on transfer.... or goes as a tourist.... to any Part of India he/she will not be language handicapped...remove the language barrier....ditto for a North India going to Tamil Nadu...

RB: Maybe Stalin feels Tamilians should stay only in TN....live in the Pond where Dravidian Parties are the crocodiles....

M: Coming back to Kejri's free travel proposal... many Ladies demanding that as this step is aimed at making it safe for women to travel... why not make Ola... Uber....other radio Cabs..... free for women... Cabs are any day safer than Metro... Buses... Rickshaws...

Who, minus, Rahul Gandhi can revive the Congress party ?

After the Congress's second consecutive devastating defeat in the Lok Sabha, the crisis within the party shows no signs of easing with Rahul Gandhi himself appearing adamant on resigning as president of the party. In such a case, the question that arises is - Who, other than Rahul Gandhi, can revive the grand old party ?
