It is also to be seen whether veteran BJP leaders - Rajasthan Governor Kalyan Singh (87), the oldest occupant of Raj Bhavan at present and his Uttar Pradesh counterpart Ram Naik (85) - get an extension.

Blunder of Congress Party !

Political observers feel had the Congress leaders not  mentioned the name of Modi ,the Party would have got 125 to 150 seats in the Lok Sabha polls.

RSS can not dictate now ?

With this mandate to Narendra Modi, political observers say, now the RSS can not dictate terms. Mandate has said that Modi is the only acceptable leader in the country.

Delayed entry of Priyanka ?

By and large people say, had Priyanka Gandhi Vadra entered in the political arena in January 2018 results would have been altogether different.

Me: So what's new..

Friend:  Well Modi off to a surer but slower start...I think Modi's got the  Economy and Jobs on the top of his Agenda. The next  Global Downturn is already in the works..and India needs  to pick up momentum to be a out performing Economy in an underperforming scenario like last time...it's domestic demand can do it for India...

M: It's not going to be easy.....demand is sluggish.... and please the solution is not RaGa's 'brainwave NYAY'!!

F: What's sluggish is Society's upgradation.. those who can afford cycles start affording scooters... those affording scooters  start affording cars..that's because Salaries and Incomes are sluggish... the real problem is not Jobs.... it's  sluggish Salaries and  Incomes..lots of sub 15000 jobs... and unjustifiable salaries...some Teachers get 3000 ... try getting domestic help for 3000...

M: What do you feel are Opposition's plans..

F: Caste and religious strife.... its the only card they know how to play..

M: So the adage.. you can't fool everyone all the time .. fails when  it comes to the Religion and Caste Card!! But they say Indian Voter is maturing... this time they Voted ignoring Religion and Caste to a great extent..

F: Parties like Congress have decades of experience.. they know which button to press and when..and they get ample help from BJP..

M: BJP.... how!!!

F: During the swearing-in was it prudent to shout Jai Shri Ram... Vande Matram.... especially when Muslim MPs were sworn-in.....you have a Brute Majority... all wear saffron scarves and send your message... but don't use religion to heckle ... BJP has given a plank to Opposition to go and tell Muslims ... see we told you so!!

M: The Indian Voter is maturing but our Netas are becoming childish..

F: We have an Opposition that doesn't have the capability to Question Government on issues... it's just heckling and more heckling...boycotting....

M: To Question one should  have your own solutions too...'you did this... it's wrong... should have been done like this'!! By the way now that Scindia is out.. Rajagopal under a cloud... who will chaperone RaGa in LS..

F: Tharoor.....Tiwari....I can visualize RaGa sandwiched between Tharoor and Tiwari....one will change his attire and priorities and the other...  uss ka dimaag chaat jaye ga with ... In so far as....

M: My prediction is in the first half of this MP tenure RaGa will be seen less in Parliament...

F: What excuse will Congress give....

M:  He's reinventing Congress!! Wait for his Eureka....

Is India inching towards Presidential form of Government ?

Whispersinthecorridors has this indication from top bureaucratic circles that there is an apprehension of Presidential form of Government in the country. The logic behind such a thinking is – introduction of lateral entry System in bureaucracy (American system), appointment of IAS, IFS and Army officers as Ministers, selection of top brains in different sectors, portfolio allocation to Dr. S Jaishankar and Hardeep Puri, plan to import a third of Deputy Secretaries from private sector, efforts to have ‘one nation, one election’, strong PMO and last but not the least appointment of Amit Shah as Home Minister.

Grapevine has it that once the BJP gets majority in Rajya Sabha next year, Presidential form of Government will become a reality but will it be viable ?
