What will be Congress future?

After Rahul Gandhi's resignation as party Head, now discussion has started about the future of Congress. Experts opined that the party is on the verge of disintegration and because of uncertain future many party leaders, especially from southern states  have started leaving party where Congress was in better position. This is not a good sign for the party.

Moti Lal Vora is “Amitabh Bachchan” of Congress Party

Veteran Congress leader Moti Lal Vora who is all set to take over as Interim President of the Congress is considered to be “Amitabh Bachchan” of the Party. Vora who is 91 has been in the Congress Politics since seventies on some post or the other.

Why Modi and Trump still hammer opponents

People wonder why PM Modi still hammers Congress after defeating the party so decisively. Well, President Trump also still criticizes Hillary Clinton (and she doesn’t have 1/100 the hold on her party that the Gandhi family have on Congress in India). Is India inching towards Presidential form of Government ?

Whispersinthecorridors has this indication from top bureaucratic circles that there is an apprehension of Presidential form of Government in the country. The logic behind such a thinking is – introduction of lateral entry System in bureaucracy (American system), appointment of IAS, IFS and Army officers as Ministers, selection of top brains in different sectors, portfolio allocation to Dr. S Jaishankar and Hardeep Puri, plan to import a third of Deputy Secretaries from private sector, efforts to have ‘one nation, one election’, strong PMO and last but not the least appointment of Amit Shah as Home Minister.

Grapevine has it that once the BJP gets majority in Rajya Sabha next year, Presidential form of Government will become a reality but will it be viable ?
