Politics are very much like war. We may even have to use poison gas at times.

No part-time politics now ?

PM Narendra Modi has given a message to his party leaders that now there is no place for part-time politicians. Now Ministers in his cabinet are having  a tough life.

Only Ruble, Dollar and Rupee  !

In the coming several years only Ruble, Dollar and Rupee are going to rule the World politics. Message is loud and clear.

Who can get things done in GoI ?

There was a discussion in the IIC as to who can get things done in the NDA Government. They were unanimous that no Union Minister or any bureaucrat but only two persons. One need not elaborate.

PS are more busy then Ministers & Secretaries

A remarkable change is being seen in the NDA - II. During last two months when people from far flung areas come to the Ministries  and they have to wait for at least an hour to meet Private Secretaries of some ministers. Many times visitors have to go back without meeting because they have to catch the train. Some say, that one can meet the Minister or the Secretary but it is difficult to get hold of the PS. Will PMO do some justice ?

Friend who is an Economist is in Delhi and he drops in for Coffee..

Friend: Problem pe problem on the Economy front....Sensex down by 2500 points ... Midcaps even more... FIIs pulling out.... and doesn't seem Foreign Investors pulling out of China coming to India...worry for China ....many overseas manufacturers who had opened Factories in China...low labor and land costs ...open Governance.... all changed...so they are pulling out..

Me: These Companies pulling out should  be having India on their list for relocation..

F: No... with our National Minumum Wage ...high electricity and transportation costs... high land rates ...high Tax rates...we are out of the race... I thought Malaysia would gain... but doesn't seem so... and FIIs have pulled out money from Malaysian stocks too... Foreign Investors take advantage of lower wages in Backward States...where land costs too are low... now with National Minimum Wage Bill that's not possible here...

M: So logic is.... better have no jobs than a lesser wage...

F: Its not that simple ....quite a number of factors are taken into consideration for setting up Manufacturing overseas ..Literacy and Skilled Labor level......Political stability...Country's location vis-a-vis raw material and finished product....Domestic Market for finished Product......Crime...Terror possibility ....Law and Order...Privatization Policies stability.... Currency's stability...Stock and Bond Market liquidity.... foreigners local acceptability......even Weather....

M: Then where are the Investors moving out of China going....

F: 40% of Investment going to North America....yes North America.. and Canada Labour is not cheap....so like I said other factors giving Canada the edge...but BJP badly needs a Economy Think Tank...

M: So 10,000 additional  Troops being sent to Kashmir....

F: Good......maybe this Government in the throes of taking some landmark decisions...or there's Intelligence inputs on Terror...

M: Abdullahs and Muftis are against this move of sending 10,000 troops...saying they are pro Kashmir....

F: If they were that pro  Kashmir both would have merged by now to be united ....albeit for the wrong loyalties and  priorities.... but it's about their own aspirations...who knows... could be  greed....

M: So the Urban Naxals now taking Lynchings to next level...damage India's image overseas...

F: And now even the Khan Market Gang has been raised from a motely bunch of nay sayers to Nation Builders...they've included Shiela Dixit.... MMS as Members....

M: Membership criterea....

F: Anti BJP.... anti Modi....bile should  come into your mouth  when BJP or Modi's  name is taken....

M: Azam Khan...what's the latest!!

F: Work in progress.... SP working out what all Hindu MPs have said that's insulting to women ... and action taken... attempt is to show because Azam is a Muslim he's being targeted...

M: SP Patriach had said ... boys will be boys... to sidestep stringent law on Rapes.....son believes in...Sons will be like Fathers....just see how Aki's responding to Azam's offensive comments....(show my Friend pic taken from SM)...

RETIREMENT AGE

There are rumours that the Government of India is all set to increase the age of retirement from the present 60 years to 62 years. While many say that it is a good idea, others are of the view that it will not be good for the jobless youth ? What do you think ? Is raising the retirement age a good idea ?
