PM Narendra Modi by his actions has proved that he has a will and an appetite for risk and speed.

Excellent floor management by BJP in Parliament

The floor management in Parliament by the BJP is so good that even without the majority in the Rajya Sabha the BJP under Modi 2.0 has been able to push through legislation with finesse. The passing of the RTI amendment bill is a case in point.

J & K to have another Kejriwal as CM ?

Now J & K will have another Kejriwal as CM where Police will be under control of the Centre .

Was it Congress majboori ?

In the political circles, rumours were floating that to oppose J&K bills in RS was a compulsion for Congress party otherwise senior leader like Ghulam Nabi Aazad would have resigned from the party and joined the NC.

Fiefdom no more...

Meet my Respected Friend... Retired Senior Bureaucrat.... at a Cafe..
Respected Friend: Nehru on 370 had said 370 will corrode and erode.... actually ..it corrupted and erupted.... 3 Families made Kashmir their fiefdom...Sardar Patel brought 561 Princely States into India... no problems till today... Nehru handled 1...Kashmir.... and messed it up... more than 41000 people have lost their lives ...
Me: As Nation gets  integrated.... Congress is getting divided..... a section of Congress is for the scrapping of 370 and 35 A .... and when we say Kashmir ...POK is always included....we feel that portion of Kashmir  is Occupied....again thanks to Nehru!
RF: See the Gems Modi chooses ....be it CMs....though totally unknown names... Speaker of LS..and see Sonia's choices... like LOP....the man made Sonia wince during the debate on scrapping of 370....doesn't he know India's stand .....that Kashmir is an internal issue ...what's the use of showing your displeasure with him now Madam....he's your choice!

M: It's like I have a problem with one of my son's...  for decades...my neighbour sides with my son and tries to create problems... I am able to resolve the issue and put my son in his place... what's wrong if I appraise the neighbourhood... to whom I know my neighbour and my son have been going and lying and crying croc tears...it doesn't mean I'm asking for the neighbourhood to intervene... I'm in fact telling them... now please note all settled ... please don't entertain any more gossip on this issue..

RF: This bogey ...why didn't Government take all into confidence before taking this decision...don't the reactions to the scrapping of 370 and 35 A and State Reorganization  justify Government keeping the matter on 'need to be told' basis..... 
M: And those who say why didn't Government take Kashmiris into confidence.... arre prior to 370 and 35 A being promulgated did Congress take Kashmiris into confidence...
F: And you have Farroukh Abdullah... clearly rattled .... giving Parliament the miss and spinning stories about his arrest... truth is he's not under arrest...if he had been how could he give Interviews to Channels...
M: Kashmir no longer his fiefdom ... and a personal problem too....Daughter and Grandkids of Farroukh now get their  share in his Assets...
RF: Now Delhi will set the ball rolling for getting development into Kashmir within a year......
M: If you ask me planning started in June itself when decision was taken to set the ball rolling for Scrapping of 370 and 35 A and reorganization of the State..
RF: And now US has said this scrapping of 370 and 35 A and Reorganization are internal matters of India..
M: Fact is World recognizes a selfless strong Leader..
RF: And today Congress was reminded of it's status when Speaker Om Birla admonished  Tharoor when he refused to end his speech... Don't forget I have to give time to other small Party like your's....
We have a good laugh ...pay the tab... and walk out on to the Mall ...

Is India inching towards Presidential form of Government ?  Whispersinthecorridors had this indication from top bureaucratic circles that there is an apprehension of Presidential form of Government in the country and asked its surfers that will it be viable ?

RETIREMENT AGE

There are rumours that the Government of India is all set to increase the age of retirement from the present 60 years to 62 years. While many say that it is a good idea, others are of the view that it will not be good for the jobless youth ? What do you think ? Is raising the retirement age a good idea ?
